I hate posting this late. It’s totally at odds with my OCD tendencies but Mr. LA had to take the laptop to London with him. I felt like I’d lost an arm. On the plus side, the lack of Internet access transformed me into a highly productive individual and I managed to cross a few mundane tasks off my ‘to do’ list.
December and all that it entails is suddenly upon us. Where did the last month go? Christmas is just a few weeks away. Am I ready? Hell no.
Making me smile in November…
- Cooking and eating veggie – I’ve been vegetarian since I was about 11 years old but for the last few years I’ve been a BAD vegetarian. That is, I’ve been more of an occasional vegetarian. I blame having children (I craved meat while pregnant) and living with a strict carnivore… my man loves his meat. That’s why I was so shocked to hear that he was keen to sample the veggie life for a couple of weeks. I have loved not having to prepare and cook meat and I’ve realised that I’m much, much happier without it in my diet. Everyone should try it.
- Memoirs of a Geisha – I re-watched this recently. I’d forgotten how much I love it. It’s visually stunning and makes me want to go to Japan soooooo badly.

- MAC ‘Most Popular’ lipstick (LE from Hello Kitty and Colourcraft collections) – I have been wearing this lipstick A LOT.It’s a lustre finish so it’s beautifully creamy and not at all drying. It looks lush on its own but I’ve also been pairing it with either my Caramel Gospel Lancome juicy tube (yum) or Lancome Colourfever gloss in ‘Honey I love You’.
- MAC ‘Orpheus’ kohl power liner (LE from the original Starflash collection… I think) – I unearthed this liner from the bottom of my makeup stash a few weeks ago and I’ve been wearing it constantly. It’s sort of black shot through with gold/bronze shimmer. On my waterline it looks much softer than true black which can sometimes appear too harsh on me, especially when I’m sleep deprived. I like wearing it with the Lancome ‘Feline Plum’ palette I picked up recently.

- My Rocking Horse Necklace.

This is a great selection of smilers! I realised the other day that we live as vegetarian 99% of the time (generally Sunday roast is the blip!) just because that’s the food we like..I feel like you’re often more creative when you’re cooking when you’re veggie, and you don’t need to worry about whether your meat came from happy animals.
And, what a gorgeous necklace!
