I had a bit of a moment earlier today. An ‘oh my goodness the wedding is really close and there’s still so much to do’ moment.

The pretty pink envelopes containing our guests’ RSVPs fly though our letterbox daily and, while my excitement grows at the thought of finally walking down that aisle, I can’t help but feel apprehensive and, well… just a little bit nervous. The guest list hit 75 today. That’s an awful lot of people.

My ‘to do’ list seems endless and random wedding related objects float aimlessly round my head at all times….

Candles {must buy them}, ribbons {but which colours?}, jam jars {they need scrubbing}, Mr LA’s suit {a serious bone of contention}, wellies {I need some}, cuff links, gifts, cakes, table names, ….

And so it goes on.

Despite my neurosis, I have managed to complete a few wedding related tasks of late.

1) I picked up these pretty 1930s style pyjamas for my bridesmaids to wear while we get ready in the morning. Now I just need to find myself something equally fabulous to waft around in.

2) I laundered all the vintage linen my Mum and I have collected thus far. I was so nervous about washing the delicate lace tablecloth we snapped up for a tenner earlier this year. After soaking it overnight, gently rinsing and then handwashing again it came out looking much whiter. The odd stain remains but I figure that’s just part of it’s history. Many a happy meal spent, if you know what I mean. I shall look forward to ironing these beauties in the days before the wedding.

3) I finally found an affordable bag for my bridesmaids in the form of this pewter embellished clutch from Next. Everything feels expensive when you have to buy three, but £16 for something so sparkly seemed reasonable.

There were also wellingtons {destined for the feet of my maids, as soon as I’ve prettified them with that ribbon that I’m yet to buy} and much stamping of place names. I’m off to London for my hair trial on Thursday and our pre-wedding shoot with Eliza Claire is less than two weeks away. Busy busy busy…

Of course, it will all get done.

Won’t it?
