Going Up…
- The fella and I ordered our Save The Dates this afternoon and to say I’m a little excited would be a HUGE understatement! Originally, we planned to totally DIY the cards ourselves and had even begun discussing some possible designs with a friend who happens to be a graphic designer. However, I stumbled across exactly what we had in mind on Etsy. I quickly realised that it would be cheaper to order the ready made cards from the US than buy the materials and print our own. I can’t wait to show what they look like!
- My mulled wine Yankee Candle. Smells so good! It’s making me feel all Christmassy!!
- Watching Izzy’s nativity play at school today. I know I’m terribly biased, but the girl has talent! The grandmother of another child was sitting behind me and after Izzy had said her lines she whispered to the person next to her ‘wow, what a fabulous voice, she stole the show’!! I’m ashamed to admit I nearly cried when Izzy was doing her bit, much to Mr. LA’s amusement!
- The parentals have offered to babysit on New Years Eve! And we have an actual party to attend! What to wear, what to wear???
- Still loving Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Amazing stuff.
- Spaghetti for dinner. Yum! I did meatballs for everyone else but I was happy with loads of tomato sauce and black olives.
Going Down…
- Hmmmm… how do I put this? Lib Dem betrayal, disgusting political policy, sad day for HE and future generations of students….
- Being skint. It sucks.
- Last night I had my first major university related melt-down since going back to do my MA. There were tears and everything. It just all seems so unachievable at the moment.
- I am so not ready for Christmas. I still have presents to buy and wrap and Isabel’s gift was returned to Amazon because there was no one at home to receive it. Grrrrrrrr.
- The fact I’ll have 2 huge essay deadlines hanging over me throghout the Christmas holidays 🙁

I don’t think you need to worry just yet! The Save The Dates were very impulsive, I fell in love with them and they fitted so perfectly with the ideas we had discussed making ourselves that I thought why not! They’re handmade and coming from the US so won’t arrive until after xmas anyway. We’ll post them out in jan which will be 12 months to the wedding (Eeeeek!!) We’ve got family in Oz and Spain so need to give them as much notice as possible.
I can’t wait to see some of your wedding planning when you do get into it!!

The nativity play sounded lovely, I bet you were so proud? I’m sorry to hear about the Uni meltdown. It happens a lot though with PG studies. It can be very emotionally draining. At least it’s the weekend now and you can perk yourself up with a bit of family time I’m sure 🙂

@Lauren Awwww thank you honey, I am VERY excited!! It’s a good thing my dress is at my mums house otherwise I’de be trying it on every 5 minutes!! I was so proud of Izzy, perfect little angel!
@Modesty Brown Thank you, I’m sure it’s perfectly normal. Feeling alot better today as I picked up my marks from my 1st 2 assignments and they were encouraging. I want to improve them still but at least I’m not actually as dumb as I’ve been feeling over the last few days.

I guess I feel a bit of your Uni related pain, I’m trying to tackle some problems myself right now, and some professors seem to be so unsympathetic, they don’t even try to help or understand your situation! Eeeh.. Can’t wait to see your invites! x
I feel your MA pain and am sure I will be having a similar meltdown this week. Not helped that S isn’t here to sort me out and cook me food!!
NYE: Suave and sophisticated. I think S is going to wear his DJ. He looks ace in it. I am jealous he can still fit into it (he’s had it for years) whereas I cannot fit into anything I’ve had for more than a year really!!
Ooo, very excited to see what you wear for NYE! I think Colin is working, as has become n0ormal sadly, so I’ll probably have a night in with family. I’m not a massive NYE celebrator really, call me bah humbag!!! xxx
