Going Up…
- Not much… but I’m glad the baby has (so far) managed to avoid the dreaded lurgy!
Going Down…
- Seeing my daughter so unwell and being terrified she’ll have an asthma attack.
- My boyfriend having to sleep on the floor in my litle girl’s bedroom in case she needs her inhalers in the middle of the night.
- Vomit… one of the many joys of motherhood.
- The media coverage of swine flu. A 4 year old should not be afraid of dying purely because the press is more concerned with selling papers than presenting facts. 3000 people die from flu every winter but I guess that’s not as exciting. I’ve stopped listening to the radio now.
- Elderly relatives ringing up to ask how the patient is and proceeding to talk about the latest fatalities. Not helpful.

I’m sorry your daughter is unwell 🙁 I had my 1st asthma attack when I was 9 and it was a frightening experience. I hope she will be ok?
xx
Thanks Victoria. I’m sure she’ll be fine eventually. Luckily we can cope quite well at home with her inhalers. She was only diagnosed a year a go after a nasty attack and a trip to A&E. It breaks my heart though, someone so young shouldn’t have to deal with stuff like that.
Just read through your blog. It’s great… following it now!
@loveaudrey: I had my first sinus surgery when I was 6 and then 2 more followed, so I know how difficult it is to live with breathing problems! Hope she gets well soon! xxx
