Going Up…
- Central heating, my winter coat and new boots. Autumn is officially here.
- More Christmas purchases. Working my way through the long list now means I should avoid any crazy panic-buying when the shops start to get busier.
- LUSH Christmas Eve bubble bar. I picked up another one today… it’s so beautiful.
- The fact my boyfriend cooked dinner today. It was so nice to have a bit of a break from the kitchen.
- Having a hot bath and giving myself a much needed pedicure (even if you’re wearing Chanel nail polish, once its chipped it looks crap).
Going Down…
- Feeling frumpy.
- Starting to feel a little panicked about a party I’m organising. We’re having a naming ceremony (like a Christening but without the religion) for my son in November. There are 40ish guests coming and I’m supposed to be doing the catering myself. I’ve never hosted an event of this size and I’m beginning to doubt my organisational skills!
- I have absolutely no idea what I’m going to wear to said event and can’t imagine how I’m going to manage to actually shop for an outfit.
- My skin looking generally crap. Dehydrated and dull with a couple of tiny spots. I so need a facial.
- The fact certain other ‘grooming activities’ have fallen by the wayside (by which I mean waxing).

What time of day is the party – you doing lunch for everyone, or is it afternoon tea? I think 40 is do-able with a bit of planning ahead.
Ashamed to say our heating is on here and there already…I’m blaming it on having just been on hols – I get cold easily!
The ceremony is at 11 so I’ll be doing lunch. My mother has offered to prepare some of the food which will be a big help. I’m going to freeze ahead so it will just be a question of warming everything up on the day. Just a bit scary when you’ve never done it before!
I also get cold easily… I wanted the heating on long before my boyfriend did. I managed to persuade him by saying that the baby absolutely must not get cold!!
