Going Up…
- The prospect of a visit from my best friend and her beau this weekend. We have been friends since high school and we always, always have a fabulous time together. We don’t get to see each other all that often anymore. When we do it’s fantastic, we just pick up where we left off, as if we still live round the corner from one another and see each other 3 times a week!!
- The fact that spring is in the air! Well…in the shops at least! I did some window shopping this afternoon and I saw some wonderful clothes. I was literally drooling over some of the new make-up collections! I need to do some real shopping asap.
- LUSH Dream Cream. I have used this on and off for years and years. It is such an amazing product. It makes my skin feel super smooth and soft and it is fabulous for sensitive skins. It’s packed full of oat milk and the wonderfully soothing essential oils rose and lavender. It also has a teeny tiny amount of tea tree oil in it which gives it a slight healing quality. I swear by this for my daughter’s eczema and I have also been known to use it on nappy rash! Honestly… it’s like first aid in a pot!
- Taking the plunge and paying the deposit for my Masters. No backing out now, I’m definitely going back to university in October. Scary stuff!
Going Down…
- The children have been ill this week. Only coughs and colds but they’ve been terribly out of sorts. Not much fun really, I hate seeing them sick and I’m somewhat sleep deprived as a result
- Bad Hair Day. Enough said.
- The fact the Chanel counter had already sold out of the Particuliere nail polish. I put my name on a waiting list but I’m desperate for ‘greige‘ nails!
- The cost of postgraduate study. Seriously scary stuff!

Oh I love Lush Dream Cream too rediscovered it after a long time too and its gorge and smells so soothing x I can only imagine what postgrad study costs now – I finished my MSc in 2002 and I paid a £1000 or so a year for the 2 years (I did it part time) faints – what are you thinking of doing I did social sciences x
It’s crazy expensive!! About 4k for one year full time. I get a small discount because I got a 1st as an undergrad and I’m staying within the same school but it’s still a scary amount. I’m doing a History MA called War & Society but my undergrad degree was in sociology.
