Going Up…
- The weekend is almost here, it’s so close I can almost touch it. We have friends visisting from London and a whole heap of Halloween fun planned. I can’t wait to see Jesse in his costume and dose Izzy up with sugar.
- Mugs of hot chocolate.
- Lush Brazened Honey facemask. I’ve used this 2-3 times now and I’m really loving the effect it has on my skin. It hasn’t totally cured the annoying patch of congestion on my chin that’s plaguing me right now, but it’s good stuff nonetheless.
- Jesse’s language is coming on in leaps and bounds. I love the way he says ‘gone’ when he finishes his dinner and points out all the birds on the way to nursery ‘birdy, birdy, birdy’!!
- Hammer horror movies. I had to watch the 1958 version of ‘Dracula’ and ‘The Curse of Frankenstein’ this week and I’ve really enjoyed them both. I think I’m goiing to write the research report for my film studies module on this topic. I just hope I can remember how to write an essay!
- My brand new laptop. It’s so shiny and pretty. Still trying to get used to the dinky keyboard and 11″ screen though!
- Planning my Halloween costume. I LOVE an excuse to dress up!
Going Down…
- Stressing over uni work. There is so much reading to do, plus I have 2 assignments due on the 11th November. Some days I feel like I just can’t do it all.
- Having to watch ‘Carry On’ films. They do nothing for me at all, not even a smirk or a giggle!
- The fact the housework is piling up before my eyes. The hardest part of juggling full-time study, part-time work and full-time motherhood is finding the time for washing/cleaning/cooking/shopping. I need an extra pair of hands.
- Needing a haircut. My fringe is ridiculous.
- Craving some new clothes but not having time to shop.

mmm… hot chocolate this time of year is better than any other time of year, i think.
what are you dressing as for halloween? what about your kids? are you going trick-or-treating? 🙂
I can’t imagine how you manage to handle all of this, I’m just so lazy right now and can’t bring myself to do anything… xxx
@RMb I have a Dorothy costume complete with ruby red shoes, but our sitter has cancelled on us so I may not get to wear it. Izzy has decided to be an ice queen and Jesse will be a very cute pumpkin! Trick-or-treating isn’t that big over here but we do call in on the neighbours we know down our street. Does the bean have a costume?
@Rocaille I’m not certain I am handling it!! My skin has gone a little crazy from the stress, wonderful crop of spots on my chin! Plus I’m constantly exhausted!! Keep reminding myself that it’s only a year out of my life. Hope you find some motivation.
