I have had a wonderful day. Baby J slept peacefully until gone 6am and the school run passed without a hitch. I took the boy along to Bounce & Rhyme (or baby bump ‘n’ grind as I call it) at the public library and was thrilled when he actually joined in with the clapping during ‘If you’re happy and you know it…’! I put together a veggie Shepard’s pie for dinner and spent the evening wrapping lucky dip presents for my daughter’s birthday party this weekend.
The impending birthday party explains my lack of shopping related posts of late. I have had to resist a lot of temptation this month as most of my money has gone towards gifts and party supplies. Isn’t it always the way that when your money is needed for other things the shops are full of must-buys, yet when you actually have some cash you see nothing you like?
As soon as the last birthday candle has been extinguished and the helium-filled balloons have all withered I’ll be satisfying my desire for these pretty things…
Polka Dot Bow Wool Beret and Over Sized Bow Alice Band from Accessorize. Yea… I have a thing for bows.

Lancome O My Rose Collection – This has probably been the hardest to resist. The teal gel liner and nail polish call out to me every time I pass the counter in Boots.
Cute knitwear from Topshop![]()

Warehouse Polka Dot Sweetheart Top
The perfect vintage brooch to wear on my coat – I had a very long browse in my local vintage shop yesterday but came home empty handed. Charity shops next me thinks.
