My boyfriend and I watched this film the other night. It’s years since I first saw it but within minutes of the film’s opening I had rembered how much I adore it. Watching a Hitchcock movie always fills me with a deep respect for cinema, he was a genius.
Oh and Grace Kelly is just stunning in this film! She looks so incredibly beautiful in every scene and her costumes are to die for. I’ve loved James Stewart for as long as I can remember and he has a bit of a silver fox thing going on in this film. I happened to comment on how amazingly blue his eyes look in this film and Mr. LA informed me that this is due to the fact the film was shot in Technicolor. Hmmm… I still wouldn’t mind gazing into them!
I love original trailers from the 50s and 60s. They have a tendency to give a way an awful lot of the film’s plot but I just adore the sound of the posh voiceover man!
