Our evening invitations were something of an afterthought on my part. Not the guests themselves of course, just the means by which to solicit their attendance.

There were but a few weeks to go until the great invitation exodus was due to commence when I placed an order with Leah of Golden Apple Designs.

Leah and I first met at the Love My Dress Soiree back in August. From what I remember {I’d had a few mojitos} we spent some time giggling together while we queued patiently for our turn in the Snaparazzi photo booth. Leah was wearing the most fabulous frock from Oh My Honey and I remember thinking how stylish she looked.

Upon my return home, I took a peek at her website and was instantly drawn to the art deco fonts and exquisite illustration used on her Leaves design.

After exchanging a few emails about colours and text, Leah produced a digital proof for us before finally crafting the invitations, complete with glamorous ribbons. They arrived just in time for my self-imposed mailing deadline.

We decided to use the pink and grey from our colour scheme and Leah mirrored the ivory card stock used in our main invitations with her choice of envelope. We also opted for a postcard style RSVP. I can’t wait for these to start arriving on our doormat!

Wanna see?

Behold the pretty…

I quite enjoyed stroking the beautiful card stock before I slipped them into their smart envelopes, I really did.

So, here ends the tale of our wedding invitations.

I’m not going to lie, I’m a little sad I no longer have an excuse for googling paper goods all day or pouring over images of beautiful stationery now this task has been well and truly crossed of the {rather lengthy} wedding ‘to do’ list.

Still, there’s always the order of service to think about.

Oh, and the menus.

And I’m sure I can find some other ingenious ways to sneak more pretty paper into our day…
