Like any self-respecting glamour puss, I had a whole series of outfits for my weekend of decadence and debauchery in the big smoke.
For day, I opted for an old faithful from H&M that makes me feel fabulous. I paired my full-skirted floral dress with some suede coral court shoes that I picked up a while ago in the sale from LK Bennett. I managed to keep the October chill at bay with a cardigan from Oasis {also from a past season}. The one new addition to my outfit was my handbag from Accessorize. Mine is in the shade ‘mink’ but it comes in a few colours and, truth be told, I wouldn’t mind nabbing them all.
For the evening I changed into my new dress from Reiss. I’m in love with the Livia. It fits me perfectly and the draping makes it a little more interesting than your average frock. I plan on wearing it to my friend’s wedding in November and at the dinner we have planned for the night before our own wedding. A dress like this requires multiple airings to justify the hefty price tag.
On this occasion I kept things simple with black accessories in the form of an ancient jacket from Topshop {note the missing button}, a clutch bag from Accessorize and my trusty New Look heels. The sheer tights that make my legs look beige in the first photograph were a misguided puchase from M&S.
I wore an old LE YSL polish on my nails. I love this gorgeous grey shade, I believe it’s called Stormy Grey but the bottle unfortunately isn’t marked. I opted for a soft smoky eye using the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Illusoire, MAC Vex and Print eyeshadows and lashings of black liner and mascara. I wore Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Fetiche on my lips.
Oh how I wish I had an excuse for this much glamour and excitement all the time!

very ‘kate middletonesque’ you classy lady! x
you are so beautiful, x
Is this not how you dress when you’re baking with the children?! no? hahaha! You look absolutely beautiful 🙂 xx
Aherm … HOTNESS! Love your outfit choices xx
wow you look amazing!
gorgeous!
Stunning Reiss dress – it suited you perfectly!
And isn’t Bride To Be Party an infinitely classier concept than Hen Night – I always think of inflatable genitals, L Plates and feather boas when someone says ‘hen night’!
Jem xXx
Gorgeous dress, it fits you perfectly! Hope you had a great time.
The doll on fashion
gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Love both looks, and I’d spied that bag in accessorize too….mink is my new favourite colour for some reason, dont know why!
I completely agree with the wearing something alot if its a bit pricer….in my head that is totally how I justify a costly purchase.
You look the bees knees in the dress, and suitable glamourous for such an occassion. Whether the classier Bride-to-be party or a hen night, it is the law that you should look the best out of everyone there! Definitely the right idea to keep the accessories simple, makes the divine dress stand out even more.
Lovely post, and so glad that you had a good time….as it should be for any bride to be!
