- Catching up with my cousin and her man. They’re about to move to Australia for work so it will be ages before we see them again. They wanted to stock up on cuddles from the children before they jet off on their exciting adventure.
- Eating Italian food. I had a huuuuuge pizza with goats cheese and artichokes which was delicious.
- Drinking red wine and watching a movie with my boyfriend.
- Having a lie in, my first in a very long time. Well, it was Mother’s Day after all!
- Smiling at the card my daughter gave me. Obviously, I’m terribly biased but I’m so proud of her hand writing and I love the wonderful pictures she draws.
- Having a cupcake disaster. Lets just say… not my finest baking moment.
- Madly tidying the house in preparation for my Grandmother’s visit.
- Wearing black tights and red shoes, a combination that always makes me smile.
- Loving Revlon Matte lipstick in Strawberry Suede.
- Wearing MAC Print e/s smudged into the outer corners of my lash line.
- Eating a huge meal with my family. We had 4 generations of mothers and daughters all at one table.
- Drooling over the upcoming MAC collections.
- Welcoming the return of Magpie Sparkles.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog…when I was off sick last week I went right back to the beginning of your blog and read every single post! I LOVE your blog, and it was fascinating to read about your pregnancy etc!
I’m loving the return of Magpie Sparkles too 🙂
I hope you enjoyed your Mother’s Day, I’m very excited that this time next year, I’ll be getting spoilt too!
One last thing…are you on Twitter?

Thank you so much Laura. That is a real compliment as I have followed and admired your blog for a REALLY long time!
Mother’s Day was wonderful. I remember my 1st… it was quite a surreal day actually. It’s hard to switch from being the daughter spoiling yout own Mum to being the one that gets spoiled!
I’m not on twitter yet. Do you think I should be?!

Awww, thank you 🙂 That is a HUGE compliment to me too 🙂
I reckon you should give Twitter a go…I was on it, then stopped, but missed having that regular interaction with the lovely people I’ve come to know through blogging…it’s just a nice way to chat or let of steam 🙂
