- (Still) trying to catch up on all the post-holiday washing.
- Taking my engagement ring to the jewellers to be re-sized and discovering that it’s worth substantially more than the £80 my father paid for it in 1978.
- Looking at wedding bands and getting a warm fuzzy feeling inside!
- Drinking a Starbucks hot chocolate. Yum!
- Loving some of the new Lush products, particularly It Started With A Kiss.
- Preparing and eating a garden picnic with friends.
- Worrying about Mr. LA who was feeling terribly poorly.
- Pouring over the August edition of Vogue. Starting to get excited about A/W fashion already.
- Saying a tearful goodbye to a close friend and her family. They’re moving to Bath so her husband can go back to university and train to be a teacher and I’m going to miss them all loads.
- Watching a film with Mr. LA and drinking vodka and cranberry juice, one of my favourite tipples.
- Worrying about Jesse. Hes been a little under the weather today, very sleepy and off his food.
- Daydreaming about the wedding almost constantly!
- Still not managing to get used to the sight of my son walking round our house. Where did my baby go, hey?
- Eating jacket potatoes with lots and lots of butter.
- Writing to my potential bridesmaids. I wanted to ask them all properly and tell them how special they are to me.
- Despairing at the state of the house. The next 6 weeks of the school holidays are probably a right-off in terms of keeping the house tidy.
- Cooking an entire pie from scratch… pastry and everything.
- Longing for a soak in a warm bath but not being able to face my filthy bathroom. It would definitely hinder the relaxation process if I had to gaze at my grubby shower.

I love that you wrote letters to your bridesmaids. Such a lovely thing to do in this age of texts and emails. Hope the poorly ones feel right as rain very soon 🙂
Can’t wait to see a picture of the bling in place on the finger 🙂
Your weekend sounds nice and chilled, hope you enjoyed your pie 🙂 I’m going to have a go at making pastry now I’ve got a proper food processor, hehe!
Writing letters to your bridesmaids is such a lovely, personal touch, how fantastic 🙂
Hope Mr LA and Jesse get better soon, bugs caught from the plane do you think?
Ignore the tidying, it can wait…although you should still have a soak in the tub, just put an eye mask on 😉

Congratulations on the engagement … and on your wee one walking!x
Congrats on the engagement!I hope everything goes as planned:)
Hope you won’t mind I borrowed the “weekend” post idea for my blog.I love your posts so much that I thought it would be so nice to do the same…If it bothers you let me know and I won’t do it anymore:*
I am expecting my first baby in about a month and a half and discovering your blog really helped in this tough but wonderfull period of my life:*
Starbucks hot chocolates are immense. I hope you had the whipped cream on top?
There is a wedding tumblr-esque website which is fantastic for inspiration, I will rack my brains and try to remember the name of it for you.
xx
@MissisG I’m a big advocate of the written word, I’m always sending letters, postcards, notes etc. I embrace new technology but I do love receiving a handwritten message every now and then. My boys are much better today thank you!
@Laura I hate having to wait, it’s going to be a bout 4 weeks in total I think. A claw on one of the diamonds was actually broken so it was a good thing I wasn’t wearing it because it might have fallen out. They’re going to repair it, resize it and make it look all shiny and new for me. I can’t wait!
Honestly, the tub is disgusting. I’ve been bathing Jesse in Lush’s Dreamwash because he had terribe nappy rash after 2 weeks in disposables and the whole bath is coated in a fine layer of calamine powder. At least his bottom is better though!
@LionLovingTiger Thank you honey!
@Deena Not at all… I probably borrowed it from somewhere originally myself! It’s a nice record to have, I can look at what I’ve done every weekend for almost a year! I like that even our ‘quiet’ weekends are filled with activity, making the list makes me realise how much we actually do.
That’s such a sweet thing to say, I’m glad you enjoy my blog. Good luck with the last few weeks of pregnancy… tough but all worth it in the end.
@Anonymous Girl Of course!! I hadn’t even thought of tumblr… will have a google later!
