- Wondering why Jesse chose to wake up an hour and a half earlier than usual on the one day I don’t have to get up and get out of the house. No lie in for me.
- Making M&M pancakes for breakfast.
- Feeling pleased with myself when Mr. LA’s ridiculously fussy brother (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) complimented the aforementioned pancakes.
- Being thankful for eye-liner.
- Realising just how badly I need some new clothes now that the weather has really started to get cooler.
- Craving some new haircare products.
- Carrying the food shopping home from Sainsburys all by myself. Loveaudrey = STRONG LIKE BULL.
- Spending too much money in Accessorize.
- Treating Izzy to some sweets.
- Desperately trying not to think about my MA application.
- Wandering down to the river and browsing the antique shops.
- Cooking sausages and mash for dinner with loads of gravy. Mmmmmmm!
- Drinking red wine.
- Discovering a kindred spirit. The girlfriend of one of Mr. LA’s friends joined me for a girly night in while the boys were at a party and guess what… she speaks MAC! Yup, she’s a fully fledged make-up addict, we talked lipstick and eye-shadow while munching on treats from Hotel Chocolat. It was the perfect evening.
- Watching ‘Coyote Ugly’.
- Remembering when my stomach was that flat.
- Remembering the huuuuuge crush I had on Adam Garcia circa 1999.
- Laughing at how much Mr. LA despises ‘Coyote Ugly’.
- Being woken up far too early by Mr. LA getting ready to go on a shoot (that ended up being cancelled anyway…. gggrrrrrr)
- Thinking I probably shouldn’t have stayed up to 1am the night before.
- Loving my MAC Russian Red lippy.
- Taking the children to a birthday party.
- Smiling at Jesse’s moves on the dance floor. I know I’m totally biased but I challenge anyone not to go all gooey at the sight of my son wriggling his bottom and stamping his feet to Chubby Checker’s ‘Let’s Twist’!
- Cooking a huge curry.
- Trying to settle a poorly baby. Jesse is full of cold.
- Needing an early night.

M&M pancakes? Yes please!! Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. I stayed up past midnight on Friday and Saturday nights (sewing, not partying – the glamour!), and was woken up before 6 the following mornings. Needless to day, I was in bed very early last night 🙂
@MissisG They’re yummy and so easy to do! Just sprinkle M&Ms onto the pancake batter as soon as you’ve popped it in the pan and then flip. I love how they go kind of rainbow coloured as the M&Ms cook. It’s always the way when you have a late night isn’t it, it’s like they know!! Hope you’re feeling more rested now.

@Rocaille I’m glad you enjoy reading them, I always look forward to writing them. It helps me appreciate all the little things we do together as a family.
