- Chained to my laptop, writing my essay.
- Powering through another 2000 words. 1000 to go. I’m on the homestretch.
- Hating being away from my babies. I generally lock myself away in our bedroom where I have a little study desk tucked away in the corner. I tend to work with the radio on but I can still hear the children playing downstairs and having fun with their Daddy so I’m constantly aware that I’m missing out on all the fun.
- Not bothering with make-up. I haven’t left the house all weekend so I gave my skin a well deserved break.
- Realising how knackered I look sans slap.
- Taking a break and enjoying a cup of tea when my parents popped over in the afternoon.
- Trying to get my head round spread sheets. Welcome to my wedding budget nightmare! The fact I have a severe allergy to numbers doesn’t help either.
- Eating cake.
- Listening to Jesse say ‘love you’ for the first time. Cutest. Thing. Ever. Seriously melted my heart.
- Loving Mr. LA for making dinner. He cooked a delicious Caribbean curry (although Mr. Levi Roots should probably get some of the credit too).
- Marvelling at the fact I’ve nearly hit 200 followers. I’m still surprised that anyone is interested enough in my ramblings to stop by my little space on the Internet. So thank you, and welcome if you’re new to these parts.
- Finishing Julie & Julia. I loved the film and the book definitely made for a good read too. A must for anyone that loves food and blogging.
- Trying to figure out where Jesse has hidden my glasses.
- Desperately needing a haircut and colour. One word. ROOTS.
- Craving sunshine and fresh air.
- Enjoying Green & Blacks Butterscotch chocolate. Mmmmmmm!
- Cooking the most amazing salmon dish for supper. I’ll have to do it again, take some pics and post the recipe. It was scrummy!
- Reaching a point where I couldn’t actually read the words on the screen anymore and knowing it’s time to take a break from studying.
- Snuggling on the sofa with Mr. LA.
- Drinking hot chocolate.
- Needing an early night. Badly.
- Hoping for a productive day tomorrow.

I hear you on the allergy to numbers which isn’t good when I work with spreadsheets :s Sounds like you had a very productive weekend, I hope tomorrow is productive too xx
A productive weekend, even if you did have to be chained to the desk…it’ll be worth it when your done! I hope you are still managing to enjoy the course despite the workload?
Dinner sounded yummy, I love Caribbean food, ever since Grenada started my love affair! I’ve never actually tried a Levi Roots sauce! I might look in Tesco, I want to get some bits to make that sweet potato curry you posted 🙂
Much love and hugs…I’m always reading even if I’m sometimes absent from comments 🙁 xxx
I like the ‘eating cake’ part. I’ve also spent a few days without make up while I was unwell. And my skin’s now looking quite good. So every cloud I suppose…xxx
@Primp & Preen I am soooo bad with numbers, I panic when Izzy asks for help with Maths homework!! I really need to get on top of the money side of the wedding planning (I.E the boring part) though so I have to get my head round it all somehow!
@Laura It’s so nice to know you manage to find the time to read honey! I know how hard it can be to find time to comment though (it’s taken me 4 days to reply to your comment!!) The levi roots sauce was really nice, I don’t know how authentic they are but it made a good curry. We tried a mild one but we’re going to try something hotter next time.
@Lauren Loves I can’t really get through a weekend without cake! My skin def improved too, perhaps I should try it more often (but not sure I want to inflict that on the world too much!!)
