- Snuggling with the children.
- Baking some VERY pink vanilla cupcakes for Isabel’s birthday party (the candles are from Paperchase, aren’t they adorable!)
- Catching up with my best friend who came to stay for the weekend. She’s Isabel’s godmother and has a naughty habit of spoiling the children rotten!
- Helping Izzy into her brand new party outfit.
- Heading off to the cinema to watch Tangled in 3D.
- Wishing two of Izzy’s friends hadn’t gotten sick and missed the party.
- Trying to make Izzy feel better by telling her that it just meant there would be more popcorn for all of us!
- Really enjoying the film. Is anyone else blown away by how good 3D is? Both the children were reaching out and trying to grab objects from the screen!
- Eating far too much popcorn.
- Wandering back home and making the children all a hot chocolate with marshmallows.
- Singing happy birthday.
- Vowing never to use the cupcake stand again. Pretty it may be but we had flying cupcakes halfway through happy birthday as it’s not very stable at all!
- Eating cake.
- Watching Izzy open her presents.
- Bathing and bedding 2 fairly hyper children. Serious sugar high.
- Eating pizza and drinking wine.
- Loving the children for sleeping until 7.30am on a Sunday.
- Finally getting to see one of my bridesmaids in her dress! It was so exciting, the girls are going to look so beautiful on the day!
- Cooking and eating chicken pie, smash and peas from Jamie’s 30 minutes Meals. It was amaaazing, so yummy and very, very easy. Don’t tell Nigella but I think this may be my new favourite recipe book!
- Wishing my friend didn’t have to go back to London.
- Treating myself to some Neals yard goodies.
- Buying last minute gifts for Izzy.
- Addressing what felt like a million envelopes. Our Save The Dates are finally ready to be mailed!
- Watching ‘The Godfather’. Amazing film, can’t believe I’ve never seen it before. Part II and III will have to be viewed before the week is out.
- Wrapping presents before finally tumbling into bed at midnight.

Those photographs of the cakes are fabulous…mouth wateringly delicious! Shame I’m starting a strict diet tomorrow…I’ve not yet had a chance to cook anything from our Jamie book, and I won’t for a while now either!
Such a shame the cake stand toppled, but I’m sure it didn’t make the cakes taste any less fabulous 😉
