• Having a 2 brew kind of a morning. You know the kind. You can’t even begin to contemplate normal human function without a minimum of 2 cups of tea. And buttery toast. And fried eggs with ketchup.
  • Regretting Friday night’s wine consumption (see above).
  • Enjoying a long, hot shower.
  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVING my new Chanel lippy.
  • Wearing a white t-shirt. Because for a moment I forgot that I have a toddler who derives great pleasure from hugging me after every meal and smearing the remains of his food all over me.
  • Wearing a white t-shirt with bright orange splodges all over it.
  • Wandering into town with Mr. LA and the children.
  • Purchasing the jewellery for our bridesmaids (and I really, really want to share some pictures with you all, but it’s been impossible to get a decent photo this weekend, Devon has been decidedly grey and overcast).
  • Loving the reactions of friends and family who have received our Save The Dates.
  • Cooking and eating a yummy chicken pie.
  • Booking the photographer for our wedding! So very exciting! I don’t need to tell you how utterly amazing we think Eliza Claire is, her beautiful pictures speak for themselves.
  • Enduring what was possibly Isabel’s worst tantrum to date. If anyone has any tips on how to get a 6 year old to tidy their playroom without World War 3 breaking out I’d welcome your input.
  • Finally tucking the children into bed.
  • Sipping wine, eating a Double Decker and watching a movie.
  • Snuggling with the children.
  • Forcing myself to resist the urge to clean as opposed to study. I have 2 assignments due in 3 weeks as well as an enormous pile of reading to get through (oh, and a dissertation proposal to work on… just shoot me now), but the house is also a complete and utter tip.
  • Wishing Mr. LA didn’t have to work.
  • Eating wholemeal pitta bread stuffed with houmous and grated carrot. My favourite light lunch.
  • Watching ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ with Izzy while Jesse napped.
  • Sending Izzy off to play at a friends house.
  • Putting Jesse in a bucket. Don’t worry, you don’t need to contact the NSPCC or anything. We were playing. I emptied out his big toy bucket and let him sit in it. He didn’t want to get out for almost 45 minutes, and even then I had to bribe him with food.
  • Madly trying to catch up on washing. Why does it always take me until Sunday evening to realise that Izzy has no clean school uniform for Monday morning?
  • Reading Dirty Beasts to the children. I heart Roald Dahl.
  • Sending Mr. LA off on a chocolate mission.
  • Probably parking myself on the sofa for the remainder of the evening. We’re planning on watching Coppola’s ‘Apocalypse Now’ (it’s research for my dissertation). Perfect cheerful Sunday night viewing. Not.
