- Feeling pretty rough. I’ve been ignoring the bad cough and chest pain that’s been plaguing me for the last 6 weeks but I think I’m going to have to finally admit that I’m not well and take myself off to the doctor tomorrow. My wisdom teeth have also been giving me trouble for the last couple of days and the pain has made me feel really poorly.
- Loving the children for sleeping late two days in a row. Even better that they did this (a) at a weekend so we could both enjoy it and (b) when my body was literally screaming out for rest.
- Waking up very slowly with multiple cups of tea, fried eggs for breakfast and snuggles with the children on the sofa.
- Dosing myself up with paracetamol.
- Wandering into town to buy supplies for a romantic evening with Mr. LA.
- Eating hot dogs for lunch.
- Heading to Izzy’s school’s summer fair.
- Watching Izzy sing in the choir. At the risk of sounding like a pushy stage-mum, she’s such a little star!
- Napping while Mr. LA took the children to the park.
- Not feeling any better despite said nap.
- Painting with the children. Messy doesn’t even cover it.
- Clearing up after painting with the children *sigh*.
- Feeding and bathing the children before tucking them into bed and settling in for a quiet evening with the fella.
- Cooking and eating sticky pan-fried scallops. It was delicious.
- Eating ice-cream on the sofa and watching a couple of episodes of Dexter season 4. Bliss.
- Dragging myself out of bed to ‘do’ father’s day despite feeling awful.
- Feeling so grateful for the fact I have a man like Mr. LA in my life.
- Missing my Dad. A lot.
- Eating a HUGE Sunday lunch with my Mum and Bonus Dad.
- Watching the boys get on with some gardening.
- Having a quick browse around the shops.
- Snoozing on the sofa with the children.
- Trying not to panic at how much I sucked at studying this weekend.
- Self-medicating with a Dominos pizza and an early night.

Recipe for scallops. Now. Before I salivate myself to death. x
Oh my gosh those scallops look so tasty! Can I hire you, just for a week, so you can come and cook for me? That would just be heavenly. Mmmm.
Hope you feel better soon sweetheart xxx
It sounds like a nice weekend despite the sadness and illness. xxx
If you’ve seen my tweets today you’ll know how jealous I am about your kids letting you lie in. xxx
Nope, you definitely sedated them, I’m sure I’ve never heard of children that LIE IN! What is this phenomenon of which you speak?!
Those scallops looks yummy, I second Cami’s comment! I really think I need to try this!
Big hugs again for today, have been thinking of you xxx
I may just have to post the scallops recipe on here I think, you all seem keen! It worked out about the same price as steak so a nice weekend treat 🙂
I swear I didn’t drug the children! We just got lucky, it’s def not a regular occurence!
