- Waking up slowly with a cup of tea on the sofa while cuddling the children.
- Cooking and eating pancakes and fried bacon with maple syrup. Again. It’s heavily requested by the family at the moment.
- Packing the children off to the beach with Mr. LA. The weather was glorious on Saturday and it was particularly painful to stay home and study while they had plenty of fun on the sand and in the waves.
- Studying.
- Loathing my dissertation with a passion.
- Wearing a pretty red dress in a bid to cheer myself up.
- Loving Jayne Ormonde Champaca perfume.
- Drinking lots of tea.
- Eating a plate of pasta and soaking up the sunshine on the front step.
- Excitedly ripping open a package from Grace London.
- Missing the children.
- Wondering if the notes I’d spent the whole day working on were a waste of time.
- Enjoying welcome home hugs.
- Foraging for dinner in the kitchen. There was a distinct lack of anything in the cupboards and fridge, but I somehow managed to cobble together a chickpea curry with brown rice and naan bread.
- Letting Izzy stay up late. We watched Shrek 4 {meh, but Izzy enjoyed it} and ate too much toffee popcorn.
- Having a soak in the tub. I used a Lush Dreamtime melt and French Kiss bubble bar to create the most heavenly lavender-filled bath cocktail. A relaxing ESPA salt scrub completed my heavenly pampering session.
- Curling up in bed with Mr. LA.
- Enjoying a lie-in. The children didn’t stir until almost 8am. Bliss.
- Hating the sinking feeling I get when I think about how much work I have left to do.
- Eating a delicious omelet for breakfast.
- Hating the grey and overcast skies outside my window.
- Wearing MAC Russian Red lipstick and loving Sue Devitt blush in Koh Samui.
- Enduring a stressful shopping trip around Sainsburys. Shopping with a toddler is never, ever fun. Trust me.
- Indulging in a very garlicky lunch.
- Snacking on chocolate chip cookies.
- Squeezing in another hour of study while Jesse napped.
- Pouring over perfume blogs {like this one and this one} and reading back through Get Lippie‘s fabulous Project Perfume posts. Very inspiring.
- Heading to the park with the children.
- Very much enjoying a ride on the swing.
- Laughing at the fact that whatever Izzy does, Jesse thinks he can do it too. Monkey bars and all.
- Cooking more curry for dinner.
- Manically trying to catch up on housework while also attempting to persuade the children to tidy their toys.
- Tidying the children’s toys.
- Reading lots of bedtime stories.
- Studying some more.
- Hoping I have the sense to relax and get an early night.

I love these posts, they really satisfy my nosey nature! And even when you have your stressy moments your weekends still sound perfect.
Mine would read. “not nearly enough sleep, children refuse to do as they are told, trip to tescos” xx
@Charlie Hehe! I’m nosey too so I’m glad these posts hit the spot for you! Writing them over the last year or so has really made me appreciate the simple things we do as a family.
Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep :S
