• Sleeping in.
  • Drinking numerous cups of tea in quick succession.
  • Toasting bagels for breakfast.
  • Pulling on my scruffy painting clothes and cracking on with some DIY.
  • Sanding, cleaning and priming the old kitchen cabinet doors from the laundry room.
  • Listening to Stanley Tucci on Desert Island Dishes while I worked.
  • Grabbing a quick shower and pulling on clean clothes.
  • Eating hot dogs smothered in ketchup and mustard for lunch.
  • Lounging outside in the sun while Izzy made vegan chocolate chip cookies.
  • Doing absolutely nothing for a little while. It felt good.
  • Listening to Bossa Nova while I made a big pot of lentil ragu.
  • Carefully assembling layers of ragu, pasta and white sauce to make a vegan lasagna.
  • Waiting patiently for it to cook.
  • Polishing off multiple helpings.
  • Quickly clearing the table and tidying the kitchen.
  • Doing the Telegraph pub quiz with my parents via Zoom.
  • Sitting with the kids while they watched old episodes of The Simpsons on Disney+.
  • Saying goodnight to Jesse.
  • Nodding off while we watched a horror film.
  • Squeezing in an episode of Schitt’s Creek before bed.
  • Waking up with enough time for a cup of tea before our groceries were delivered.
  • Slowly putting the shopping away.
  • Savouring the sight of a full fridge.
  • Making the children pancakes for breakfast.
  • Catching up with my mum and my sister.
  • Smearing a toasted bagel with smashed avocado and marmite for myself.
  • Putting on a load of laundry.
  • Applying another coat of primer to the cupboard doors.
  • Drinking tea outside in the yarden.
  • Eating leftover lasagna for lunch.
  • Sorting clean clothes, cleaning the bathroom and generally tidying up.
  • Settling down on the sofa to watch a Star Wars movie.
  • Making a start on Sunday dinner while the children entertained themselves.
  • Tapping away at my laptop while the potatoes roasted in the oven.
  • Mentally planning my Sunday night pamper session. I’ve been saving my last beloved Ceridwen’s Cauldron from Lush and I think tonight’s the night!
  • Looking forward to climbing into bed with my Kindle.
