• Waking up to find myself alone in bed. God bless Mr L.A. for letting me sleep in.

  • Smiling at Jesse’s enthusiasm for bacon.
  • Feeling full.
  • Jumping in the shower.
  • Pulling on jeans and a jumper.
  • Applying a quick face of makeup.
  • Coaxing the children into their clothes.
  • Stepping out into the spring sunshine.
  • Strolling to the park.
  • Spotting daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses.
  • Pausing to take a few photos of Izzy beneath branches laden with blossom.
  • Grabbing Mr L.A. a latte from the cafe kiosk before joining him in the playground.
  • Watching the children play.
  • Chasing after Jesse on his scooter.
  • Admiring the community garden.
  • Slowly making our way home.
  • Resting on the sofa while Mr L.A. made lunch.
  • Tucking into a plate of pasta.
  • Retreating upstairs for a lie down.
  • Returning to the kitchen in search of tea.
  • Running myself a bath.
  • Listening to Edd Kimber’s excellent podcast, Stir the Pot.
  • Curling up on the sofa beneath our beautiful new blanket.
  • Loving the scent of my Spring candle from The White Company.
  • Watching Sing with the children.
  • Chuckling when they decided to create their own singing contest in Izzy’s bedroom.
  • Sitting with them at the dining table while they ate Quorn nuggets, potato wedges and peas for their tea.
  • Giving goodnight kisses.
  • Waiting for Izzy and Mr L.A. to finish watching Death Note.
  • Cooking King Prawns with Garlic and Mustard Seeds. This dish was incredibly easy to make and seriously tasty.
  • Lighting candles, pouring drinks, chatting and eating.
  • Enjoying my husband’s undivided attention.
  • Finishing the meal with a small serving of lemon sorbet.
  • Sitting down to watch The Thing.
  • Collapsing into bed.
  • Waking up when the Ocado delivery arrived.
  • Making tea and unloading groceries.
  • Eating scrambled eggs for breakfast.
  • Reluctantly sorting laundry.
  • Spring cleaning our bedroom.
  • Making a mental list of all the decorative touches I want to add to the space.
  • Sitting down for lunch.
  • Saying goodbye to Izzy and Mr L.A. when they left for her drama class in Clifton.
  • Tidying the kitchen.
  • Drinking copious amounts of tea while Jesse played with his Lego.
  • Reading this and nodding my head in agreement.
  • Watching the live action Cinderella on Netflix.
  • Spotting our wedding venue, Heatherden Hall at Pinewood Studios, in one of the scenes.
  • Rustling up a lazy dinner using shop-bought spinach and ricotta cannelloni, passata, mascarpone cream sauce and fresh mozzarella.
  • Treating myself to another bubble bath while Jesse played on the landing outside.
  • Pulling on clean PJs just as Izzy and Mr L.A. came bounding through the front door.
  • Delivering dinner to the table.
  • Daydreaming about maybe, possibly, if I’m brave enough, making a podcast of my own.
  • Resting on the sofa while Mr L.A. put Jesse to bed.
  • Sneaking upstairs to listen to him read The Hobbit aloud.
  • Tapping away at my laptop.
  • Looking forward to an early night.
  • Hoping for a productive week with minimal CFS symptoms.
