• Waking up very slowly, with multiple cups of tea and snuggles on the sofa with the children.
  • Eating omelets for breakfast.
  • Enjoying a long shower with some new REN products I recently purchased. Loving their Neroli and Grapefruit body wash.
  • Wearing MAC Dame blush. I’ve been making a concerted effort to switch up my cheek products recently after finding myself in something of a NARS Sin rut {which is not exactly a bad rut to be in, it’s a beautiful blush, but I hate the thought of all those unloved products gathering dust in my makeup box}. As soon as I swirled my brush in this pot on Saturday I was reminded just how pretty it looks on my pale skin.
  • Remembering how fantastic Lily Lolo mineral foundation is.
  • Packing Izzy off to Crealy Adventure Park with a friend.
  • Having a very lazy day. There was endless cups of tea, a bit of pottering around the house and a leisurely stroll around town to show Jesse the recently installed Christmas lights.
  • Indulging in an ESPA facial. My skin has been screaming out for some TLC and, as we’re well and truly into the wedding count down now {7 weeks to go!}, I was very relived to see the post-facial glow.
  • Cooking and eating sweet onion fritatta, a really easy, and very cheap, supper that proved popular with the children.
  • Settling down for an evening of wedding DIY, in front of a DVD and with a {very large} glass of wine in hand.
  • Letting Mr. LA have a lie in.
  • Bubbling with pride at the sight of Izzy playing the Angry Pixie from The Faraway Tree in her drama class’s end of term show.
  • Treating the little actress to some chocolate cake after the performance.
  • Enjoying some peace and quiet while Jesse napped and Izzy was at a birthday party.
  • Day dreaming about Christmas. I can’t wait to get our tree up and adorn the whole house with decorations.
  • Craving mulled wine.
  • Taking Jesse for a walk. The sun was just beginning to set as we headed out and the light was beautiful, bathing everything it touched in gold.
  • Marvelling at just how much joy a 2 year old can derive from walking along the top of a wall.
  • Picking Izzy up from the party, painted face and all.
  • Eating mince pies.
  • Enjoying the ritual of cooking Sunday dinner. I find the whole process deeply comforting.
  • Filling the house with the scent of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg as I prepared spiced apple shortcake for pudding.
  • Making peace with someone close to me. Sometimes doing the right thing is the hardest thing in the world.
  • Kissing the children goodnight.
  • Sipping hot chocolate.
  • Snuggling on the sofa with Mr. LA in front of ‘Shaun of the Dead’. I <3 Simon Pegg.
  • Tumbling into bed and falling straight to sleep.
