The WeekendThe WeekendThe WeekendThe WeekendThe WeekendThe WeekendThe WeekendThe Weekend The Weekend The Weekend

  • Getting up early to work while Mr. LA and the children slept.
  • Finishing my first Wedding Report. Cannot wait to hear what the clients think. I really hope they love it!
  • Sipping tea and eating fried eggs and baked beans.
  • Feeling like the only people without snow in the whole country.
  • Slowly getting showered and dressed. We seem to be getting lazier every week, but it can be really hard to rush on the only day you don’t have to.
  • Wearing Tolu by Ormonde Jayne and being unable to stop sniffing myself. Such a beautiful fragrance.
  • Making butternut squash soup for lunch.
  • Bundling up and taking a walk into town.
  • Wandering round the RAMM. I do so love our little local museum.
  • Picking up a few groceries.
  • Loving the warmth and cosiness of home.
  • Hunkering down under blankets on the sofa to watch a movie.
  • Making popcorn.
  • Drinking tea and reading.
  • Cooking and eating prawn linguine. Again. You know I like a recipe when I make it two weekends in a row!
  • Enjoying a colourful salad.
  • Reading bedtime stories to Jesse.
  • Listening to Izzy read aloud.
  • Putting sleepy children to bed.
  • Settling down to watch The Graduate with wine and nibbles.
  • Remembering just how much I adore this movie.
  • Reading until I fell asleep.
  • Cuddling in bed with the children.
  • Wishing Mr. LA didn’t have to work away for 4 days.
  • Managing to get Izzy to her Sunday morning drama class on time.
  • Taking Jesse for a hot chocolate in town.
  • Browsing the shops.
  • Buying books. No Bot is a new favourite. I would highly recommend if you’re shopping for a child around Jesse’s age.
  • Spotting a lonely flower in our front garden.
  • Collecting Izzy from her class.
  • Relishing the fact we had no cause to leave the house until Monday morning.
  • Making spaghetti with marmite for lunch. Izzy loves this meal, I think it’s her ultimate comfort food.
  • Using every blanket we own to build the children a den.
  • Contemplating sneaking off for a snooze myself. The children were so content I didn’t think they’d need me.
  • Keeping them well stocked with pop corn and hot chocolate.
  • Climbing in for some cuddles.
  • Doing chores.
  • Missing my husband.
  • Making Sunday dinner.
  • Laughing at Jesse’s love of pie. He demolished his portion and then stole half of mine. He also drank gravy from the jug like it was juice.
  • Surviving bed time on my own.
  • Feeling anxious for no obvious reason.
  • Distracting myself with Pinterest.
  • Retreating to bed.
  • Telling myself I’d only read one more chapter about 6 times.
  • Finally drifting off to sleep.
