• Waking up exhausted. Not a good start to the weekend. Mr. LA and I endured an incredibly sleepless night helping Jesse as he struggled with a nasty flare up of his asthma. I’d been up since 5am on Friday anyway {working at my first photoshoot as the Love My Dress intern}, so by the time Saturday morning rolled around I was completely wiped out.
  • Cuddling a very snotty, wheezy child. Delicious.
  • Drinking tea.
  • Marvelling at how selfless my husband can be as he used the last 2 eggs to cook me an omelet for breakfast. He is love.
  •  Having a very lazy day. Jesse was far too poorly to go out {he needed his inhaler constantly and was out of breath just running around the house} so we parked ourselves on the sofa for most of the day.
  • Going sans makeup. Didn’t touch a drop of the stuff all weekend. It felt good to let my skin breathe.
  • Cooking and eating carrot and coriander soup.
  • Getting Izzy ready for the Brownie Ball. All the local packs came together for a special party with lots of dancing and a near constant supply of sweets. Naturally, a glamorous frock was essential and Izzy looked resplendent in pale blue tulle. We chatted and giggled as I curled her long hair before sweeping it over to one side with a pink butterfly clip. Oh to be 7 years old again!
  • Trying to figure out how I produced such a beautiful little girl. She takes my breath away at times. So grown up.
  • Making meatballs and spaghetti with Jesse.
  • Administering plenty of Calpol before putting my sleepy little boy to bed.
  • Sipping wine.
  • Staying up far too late.
  • Loving Mr. LA for letting me lie in.
  • Enjoying a cooked breakfast.
  • Listening to that Gotye song constantly. Makes me think of my Dad for some reason. In a good way.
  • Working on my first post for Love My Dress. Touch nervous about sending it over to the boss when it’s finished. Fortune favours the brave though, right?
  • Watching Jesse race his toy cars down the hallway.
  • Making sandwiches for lunch with Izzy’s homegrown cress.
  • Desperately trying to decide what to wear to a party hosted by Temple Gregory at The Savoy on Wednesday.
  • Baking with the children.
  • Not getting a look in when it was time to lick the spoon {and the bowl and the whisk}.
  • Pondering whether there is anything more wonderful than a Victoria sponge made with freshly whipped cream.
  • Eating too much cake.
  • Listening to the children pretend to be on a bear hunt.
  • Preparing pie, roast potatoes, a mountain of vegetables and plenty of gravy.
  • Feeling very grateful for Sunday evening meals with my little family. Even if my son did squidge broccoli all over the table, dribble gravy down his chin and refuse to eat his carrots.
  • Bathing and bedding the children.
  • Eating more cake.
  • Planning to collapse on the sofa and snuggle up to my husband for the remainder of the evening.
