• Wrapping up some big projects while Jesse spent a couple of weeks with Carl’s parents in Derby.
  • Teetering dangerously close to burnout before taking some much needed time off.
  • Packing Jesse off to Cornwall with a friend. They stayed with my aunt and uncle near Falmouth, just like I used to when I was a teenager.
  • Heading to Paris via London with my mum and Izzy.
  • Enjoying my first Eurostar experience.
  • Exploring the city solo while the others were at various Olympic events.
  • Making a return visit to Shakespeare & Company. It was just as magical as I remembered.
  • Savouring Parisian cafe culture. Tucking into a salad, frites and a crisp glass of rosé while watching the world go by is my idea of heaven.
  • Eating delicious vegan French classics at Le Potager du Marais. I haven’t stopped thinking about the French onion soup.
  • Admiring Monet’s art at the Musée de l’Orangerie.
  • Stepping inside the paintings by making a bucket list trip to Giverny.
  • Eating vegan pastries from Land & Monkeys. So, so good and my first croissant in years!
  • Taking a million photos of the Eiffel Tower complete with Olympic rings.
  • Spending a couple of days at home before heading to Dorset to celebrate my birthday.
  • Turning 41 and feeling grateful for another trip around the sun.
  • Tucking into a delicious meal at The Ollerod.
  • Sipping some amazing cocktails at DarkBear Bar in Bridport.
  • Relaxing at home for a few days.
  • Helping Izzy househunt in London.
  • Packing for a weekend of glamping at The Little Retreat in Wales. Carl and I visited for our 10th wedding anniversary in 2022 and spent most of our stay talking about how much the kids would love it, so I’m glad we finally made it back as foursome.
  • Enjoying the peace and quiet. It’s such a tranquil spot.
  • Soaking in the wood-fired hot tub.
  • Visiting Carew Castle.
  • Wandering through Tenby in the rain.
  • Falling in love with Barafundle Bay.
  • Drinking Welsh cider.
  • Playing board games as a family.
  • Looking forward to some home comforts {I’m the least outdoorsy person around} while also not wanting our holiday to end.
  • Taking the children to see Come From Away at Bristol Hippodrome. It was brilliant!
  • Working through a long life admin to-do list. I’ve been decluttering as if my life depends on it!
  • Shopping for school uniform and struggling to believe how much Jesse has grown over the summer.
  • Finalising all the paperwork for Izzy’s rental.
  • Starting to prepare for her big move in a few weeks.
  • Feeling apprehensive and excited as we embark on this new chapter as a family.
  • Love Audrey xxx

P.S. Summer this time three years ago.
