Goodness, I feel as if I’ve been sucked into a black hole of domesticity this week! Preparations for Jesse’s 1st Birthday party this Sunday are in full swing and I’ve spent most of this week cleaning or baking.

Jesse’s allergies mean that I’ve been having to prepare even more of the party food myself than I usually would. Tuesday evening saw me mixing up the egg-free choc chip cookie dough and freezing it ready to be sliced and baked on Sunday morning and yesterday was all about batch after batch of vegan cupcakes. They’re also stacked neatly in the freezer waiting to be thawed and then iced on Saturday evening. Thank goodness I discovered that Iced Gems are egg free, I couldn’t envisage a children’s party without them.

So this explains the lack of posts this week. Cafe Bellini and Nicoletta were also kind enough to give me a couple of blog awards not too long ago and I’ve been meaning to get round to posting about them but I just haven’t had a chance. I am, of course, incredibly grateful. Anyway, I must drag myself away from the laptop and get on with cleaning the bathroom. Glamorous it aint.
