The boy did good this Christmas. Mr. LA made sure I felt well and truly spoilt and I was able to tick a good few things of my wish list on Christmas day thanks to his fabulous gifts.
My favourite beauty gift by far has to be my new NARS blush in Sin. I’ve been lusting after it ever since I read Karen’s post on how perfectly it compliments purple toned lip products. What with my love for MAC’s Up The Amp I knew I needed to add this beauty to my make-up arsenal.
It looks a little dark and scary in the pan, and this blush is mega pigmented so a light hand is a must, but it gives me the most beautiful violet flush that works perfectly with my favourite MAC lippy, and I’m sure many more besides.
Today was the first day I’ve worn ‘proper’ make-up in over a week. I know my face still look a little green (and I have a couple of lovely flu induced spots going on) but hopefully you can see how pretty this shade looks…
In other news, I’m totally hooked on the new Redken haircare I picked up just before Christmas. It’s a range I’ve never tried before and I’ve been really impressed.
I’ve been using the colour extend shampoo and conditioner along with the Outshine 01 anti-frizz polishing milk and Oh. My. God. My hair has NEVER felt soooooo good! It’s probably the softest it’s been since I first started mucking around with hair colour and abusing it with straighteners 6/7 years ago. It has some mega-watt shine going on too.
I can’t really comment on how well these retain colour as I’m in need of a fresh tint anyway but I’ll let you know how my red locks fare after my next trip to the hairdressers. None of these products have particularly distinctive scents, which doesn’t bother me but I know some people are really sold on what haircare smell like.
I love the way the polishing milk almost melts into my hair. It contains shea butter and really does feel like I’m applying a moisturiser to the lengths of my hair, it’s so silky after I’ve rough dried it with my hairdryer. Not a smidgen of frizz in sight either, love it!

Gorgeous blush!! My mum used to use Redken stuff, before I introduced her to Lush. I always used to steal it – I actually used some of the styling stuff up until a couple of years ago – they do an amazing wax thing that is great on short hair.
