For the uninitiated, this past Friday was Star Wars Day. As we’re very much raising the children to worship at the Church of the 1980s, it was kind of a big deal in our house.
That morning Izzy leaped from her bed excitedly and, with a broad grin on her face, uttered the immortal line ‘May the fourth be with you’. So proud.
These chocolate cupcakes seemed like the only acceptable thing to greet my little Jedi with after school, especially as I’ve been saving these cases and toppers for what feels like forever. Sadly, they still don’t seem to be stocked in the UK, but Williams-Sonoma now deliver internationally so you can all get your geek on if you feel so inclined. For reference, I favour the recipe in The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook for chocolate cupcakes.
The children fought over Han and Luke. I went for Yoda.
My cupcake a lot I enjoyed. Yes, hmmmm 😉

Ah brilliant. A good friend of mine has a six year old who is also being raised on the 80’s. He loves star wars and we recently introduced him to E.T. The next on the list is labyrinth! X
