Yesterday evening I watched a truly, truly bad film. A friend lent me ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ with the assurance that it was the kind of movie you could watch without having to think to much. That’s for sure. It did make me laugh a little, I s’pose.

Although it seemed as if I had just wasted 90 minutes of my life, there was silver lining. In an early scene one of the main characters (nope, I don’t know her name… or the actress that played her) was wearing a wonderful outfit. As I zoned out during her dialogue I caught myself thinking that I desperately need a similar ensemble for my upcoming holiday.Here’s the best picture I could find. The outfit consists of a pair of dark denim shorts (not too tight not to loose, tailored perhaps), a gorgeous black peasant top worn over a fine black vest and finally a pair of simple black flip flops.

Then today, like a sign sent from heaven, I stumbled across this blog post.

So that’s final then. I need a peasant top for the summer (OK, I mean another one).

I’m hoping I might still be able to get my hands on this beautiful one from the recent H&M Garden Collection. I adore the look in this image, although I’d probably pass on the khaki shorts. It would be perfect for our holiday. Comfy but stylish for a sunny day at the beach running around with the children and full of effortless glamor for evening cocktails at the poolside bar. Fingers crossed I can find one in my size.
