Audrey Hepburn in Times Square, New York, New Years Day 1951.Flu has destroyed out party plans for this evening. The Mister and I (and the little mister too) have been suffering dreadfully for the last few days. The mere thought of doing anything more strenuous than dozing on the sofa this evening is enough to send my temperature up again.
We have managed to eat a delicious meal of steak, potatoes and green beans, accompanied by peppercorn sauce and lashings of butter. Actually, it’s the only meal we’ve eaten today, if anyone has seen my appetite could you kindly send it back my way. Mr. LA is currently hooking up his new Blu Ray player and we fully intend to fall asleep in front a film, most likely well before midnight.
So no pretty outfit, no fabulous new shoes, no excuse for false eyelashes. Not much in the way of glamour this evening at all. But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to fill 2011 up with plenty!
