Another gorgeous pin-up for you ladies. Isn’t her boudoir fabulous! I’d love to replace the study desk in the corner of our bedroom for a beautiful vanity table like this one *sigh*
I’m so glad Friday has come around again. I’m exhausted and I think I’m coming down with a cold too, worst luck. I’m off to my Mums with the kiddlywinks for the weekend, so at least I’ll be well looked after (and well fed, you know what Mums are like)!
I’m feeling like one big ball of stress at the moment. My MA course is really, really hard and with Izzy off for half term next week I don’t know how I’m going to manage to cobble together the 2 assignments I have due for the 11th November.
I’ve also noticed that my followers seem to be dropping like flies at the moment, 4 have jumped ship already this week, in rather quick succession. To be honest, I’ve never been too preoccupied with the figure over there on the right-hand side. I’m grateful to anyone who reads my ramblings, especially those of you that take the time to comment, and I know there are people out there reading who don’t officially follow (I read blogs like that myself for almost a year). Besides, it’s quality rather than quantity that counts and there are some fabulous bloggers out there that take the time to stop by. However, I can’t help wondering if I’m doing something very wrong if people actually feel compelled to click the unfollow button.
So ladies, cheer me up with tales of you glamorous plans for this evening? Personally, I’m counting down the hours until my Mum asks me if I fancy a glass of wine!

I love your Friday glamour posts, sadly tonight I’m doing nothing more glamorous than cooking dinner for my fiance and my cousin, then getting an early night…fun times! Good luck with your assignments 🙂 x
@Dani I’m glad you enjoy them. I love finding the pretty pictures for them! Sometimes a quiet night in is just what you need though? I hope you enjoy your meal and your fiance and cousin are suitably appreciative!

I also love the Friday glamour posts, particularly because I always seem to read them while I’m sitting with my hair roller in! It’s happened the last three or four times and makes me laugh as I look anything but glamorous at that stage…however, I’ve caught this one while still at work and WISH I was at home with rollers in and a glass of wine about to go out for the evening 🙁
have a lovely weekend. and i’d ignore the follower dropping, maybe they have deleted their accounts…your blog is definitely one of my very favourites, up there with the ones who have 1 or 2 thousand followers! i love the way you write. xx
I love reading your blog… I am glad I could come out of the woodwork so to speak!!
We have the party this evening – at the moment I am far from glamourous with hair that badly needs washing and not a scrap of make up!! Just have to finish up some work and then I can go get showered.
If you need any help with stuff, please give me a shout – I’m at home all day Monday as well so if you want a hand I am more than happy to pop over and see if there is anything I can help with? I feel your pain, I looked at the assignments for my modules this morning and eep!!

I enjoy your blog tremendously! I’m not sure why people are unfollowing.
Re: Your desk: could you (when you have a spare moment in your super busy and chaotic life!) get some gorgeous fabric and make a skirt for the desk? That’s really all that’s going on in that painting. You could then top it off with tempered glass. You can stick a stack of plastic storage drawers beneath, since it’ll be covered by the skirt, and keep your things in there. A small stool with a big comfortable cushion atop would be perfect, alone with a large mirror on the wall.
Kinda like this! http://www.gustavcaillebotte.org/Woman-At-A-Dressing-Table.jpg
I really like reading your blog as well! You manage to combine blogging about make up and beauty with interesting snippets about your life, and it’s definitely a little bit different from so many other blogs, but in a good way!
No glamourous plans here tonight – staying in, having a bath, watching Harry Potter on telly, maybe a G & T and painting my nails! xx
You know how I like reading your blog, Frankie! The dropping followers’ number happened to me as well and as in your case, it was usually like three people in a succession. I’m not sure why that is, I usually just comfort myself saying they deleted their accounts altogether 😉 But I’ve also noticed that I usually gain new followers in spurts like that, so you never know!
I’m going out for a coffee to a gorgeous French cafe with friends to work on another friend’s baby shower next month (it’s still morning here!). Hope you have a great weekend! xxx
I LOVE your blog, I love the layout, I love the style, I love the pictures you add, I love what you write, I love what you write about, I love the way you write! Have I said I love your blog 😉
Nothing glamourous for me I’m afraid, going to soak in the bath after spectacularly falling flat on my face today and injuring myself everywhere, ouch! Then sit down with my hubby to watch The Event.
Have a lovely weekend and relax

I love your blog, you know that…it’s pretty much one of the only ones I make time to read now!
No glamorous plans for me (remember, I live vicariously through you at the mo!), I’ve a stinking cold, so after Jamie was fed and put to bed, I did the same 🙁

You have a lovely blog, I love how varied your posts are and your baking posts always have me drooling!
No glamorous plans for me, just getting the train home to Birimingham so I can practice driving over the weekend.
Hope you have a great weekend x
@Sophie Rosalind Such a lovely image, I’ll always picture you in your rollers now when I’m uploading my Friday posts! Thank you for the compliment, I’m glad you enjoy my blog, your praise really means alot.
@m4dswine Hee Hee! I’m glad you came clean too! How long have you been reading? You’re one of the only ‘real’ people who knows about my deep dark blogging secret! I’ve been loving reading back through your blog too, great stuff. Thanks for the offer of help, I’ll be sure to holler if I need anything!
@Gretchen Thank you lovely! I think I was feeling a little fragile and sensitive on Friday, by the time I logged back in today I’d gained as many followers as I lost so I guess I can’t be going too wrong! I LOVE your idea re. the desk. I’d love to give it a try at some point.
@The BBB You just summed up exactly what I aim to do so thank you, I was just feeling sorry for myself on Friday! I love blogging and I love the people that stop by my blog!
@Rocaille And you know I love reading your blog too! You’re one of y ‘old skool’ followers and I treasure you and all the wonderful supportive comments you have left for me over the last year or so. Your Friday sounds fabulous, a baby shower, how exciting!
@Shadow Awwwww thank you so much, I’m really glad you enjoy reading so much 🙂
Poor you, falling over. I hope you’re feeling a little mended by now. A bubble bath always works wonders.
@Laura I look forward to your comments so much, I love the way that I get a little cluster of them usually on a Sunday now. It’s obviously when you catch up! Thank you for making the time to stop by.
I hope your cold buggers off quickly, it’s so hard being ill with a little one around. I dread it!
@Peonies and Lilies I’m glad you enjoy the baking posts, hoping to get some up this week, lots of Halloween baking planned! Hope driving practice went well.

I’m so late in replying – have been MIA for a while but just had to leave you a message saying that I love your blog. Your posts are interesting, funny, poignant, heart warming and helpful – without a doubt one of my very favourite blogs and you should have way more followers!
