Audrey looks beautiful, relaxed and thoughtful here, don’t you think? And the telephone! Don’t you just love the telephone? I remember when my parent’s had a ‘proper’ phone. It took ages to dial a number, you had to turn the dial all the way round, wait for it spin and click back to the beginning before putting in the next digit. So far removed from the high speed texting we’re accustomed to today.
Apologies for the severe lack of posts of late, and also for my complete inability to reply to all the lovely, thoughtful comments you left on this post. I’m struggling with a truly horrible assignment (interdisciplinary approach to children’s literature… it’s all early 20th century psychology… and I thought studying kids books would be easy!) which is due next Tuesday. I’m yet to write a single word, currently drowning in a sea of research. So, despite the fact we have the in-laws visiting this weekend, I’ll be hauling myself to the library tomorrow to try and extract a few thousand words from my generally baffled brain. Wish me luck.
Planning to give myself the evening off (I’ll deal with the guilt in the morning). Will be cooking dinner for the parentals (Delia’s Spaghetti Putanesca again, I’m addicted to the simple but delicious recipe) and hopefully enjoying a cheeky glass of wine.
How about you ladies? Share your glamorous plans for this fine Friday evening with me please!

Urgh I feel your essay pain, managed to finish mine after a few very late nights last week, so I don’t envy you at all! Wish I was doing something glamourous tonight, but instead I shall be relaxing with my fiance, which is fine by me! x
Feeling the pain… I plan to relax on the sofa with a bottle of wine… whether said wine will make it into a glass or not is debateable!! This is after I have done a couple of hours of studying when I get home :/
We might go grocery shopping in the evening, very glamorous 😉 Good luck with the essay! x
I’m just about to run myself a bath, pour a generous glass of wine, and luxuriate in the first proper bubbly bath I’ll have had since Jamie was born! I’ve been too scared to use any bath bubbles since the c-section…but this weather calls for being snug as a bug in a hot bath, and bubbles are the only way forward! xxx
@Dani Sometimes a quiet night in is just waht you need though right? Especially if it involves snuggling with your fella!
@m4dswine It seems we’re in study hell together, hope you managed to get plenty done this weekend and managed to relax a little!
@Rocaille Thanks hun, I’m getting there slowly.
@Laura Oh I do hope you enjoyed your bath. I’m going to try and make time for one tonight, need me some bubbles!
