I could have done with an umbrella this afternoon. Izzy and I got soaked on the way home from school. It was fun though. We were pretending to be Gene Kelly in ‘Singing in the Rain’, splashing in puddles and twirling round lampposts. I don’t care if I looked like a loony, Izzy couldn’t stop laughing!

I’m pretty exhausted this evening. I went back to work on Wednesday and it’s been a bit of a shock to the system. You spend a fair chunk of maternity leave getting used to not working and then before you know it you have to go back. I missed Jesse terribly but it has been quite fun. I’ve relished the adult conversation… although my colleagues do keep asking me about labour and baby stuff so I haven’t completely escaped my other life!

Anyway, it will be a quiet night for us I think. Maybe pizza and a bottle of wine. Considering I’m already in my pyjamas I can’t see it being particularly glamorous. I guess I’ll leave that to Audrey.
