Dita in vintage Dior = perfection. If only I could get away with wearing a pair of long leather gloves down to Sainsburys.
Now, in response to the ladies who described me as a domestic goddess after reading a recent post, let me clarify a couple of things….
First, it has taken me a week, a whole week, to dust, scrub, polish and tidy my house into a respectable enough state for the outside world to see it. I would argue that this is a good indication of how much housework I do on a regular basis, i.e little to none. But then, as I always say (as my Grandmother raises her eye-brow and runs a gloved finger across the mantelpiece), a tidy home is a sign of a wasted life.
And second, I finished cleaning the kitchen and playroom this evening while wearing the following ensemble: faded black tracksuit bottoms that are miles too big for me as I wore them while pregnant, strappy black vest that’s too short and exposes a little more of my midriff than I can get away with these days, hair scraped back, no make-up and grubby bare feet that are in desperate need of a pedicure. Hardly goddess-like is it now?!
So no, I’m no domestic goddess (whatever that is… Nigella’s only qualification seems to be that she licks her fingers after everything she cooks). I just like baking!
I intend to spend the rest of this evening soaking in a warm bath and painting my toe nails a delicious shade of red (can’t decide which yet… Essie Boudoir perhaps). I have a feeling tomorrow will be manic, full of people arriving and final preparations for Sunday. I have 30-odd cupcakes to ice too. Oh joy.
What are your glamorous plans for this evening ladies?

Hope the party goes well!
I like your approach to housework 🙂 sounds very similar to mine!
No glamourous plans for me, popped to the local shopping centre to escape the little ones for an hour, bought some new underwear. Then home to try and search out a design for decorating my bedroom and bathroom (any idea’s? I’m after something sexy and sumptuous)
Have a lovely weekend and happy birthday to your little man!

@Cafe Bellini Thnaks, me too!!
@Shadow Hehe… glad I’m not the only one then! Us slummy mummys hey!! Buying underwear sounds glmorous… you reminded me how much I need some too. Decorating plans sound fun too. If I had my way I’d have a pink boudoir with black accents (think Agent Provocateur packaging) but Mr. LA put his fut down on that one!!!

You’re still a domestic goddess to me, purely for the fact that you’re doing it, hehe! My approach to cleaning/housework is the same,
Nothing glamorous about my night last night really, although I did get to be very indulgent, and had a very, very long soak in the tub, and finished off a book I was reading 🙂
Good luck for the party – not that you need it, of course, your baking will go down a storm I’m sure 🙂

Sounds like you had a lovely evening, hope you feel very rested. I was in very early labour this time last year… isn’t that crazy!!? I’m sure the party will be fine… at least it looks like the sun will be shining for us!

Oooh thank you! Love the Agent Provocateur bedroom idea! A little while ago my other half made the mistake of saying I could decorate the house however I wanted as long as I left the front room as it is, I’m holding him to it now!
