I can assure you that my face was nowhere near as shiny as the flash in these photos has made it look. On the other hand, my hair did look that rubbish.
Once upon a make-up addiction I owned a lonely eye-shadow trio from Bourjois. It contained a shimmery white shade, a light silvery grey and a darker charcoal shade. I wore the eye-shadow trio day and night, it was my signature look, if only because I owned little else in the way of eye-shadow.
These were simpler times for me and my make-up collection. When I found myself baffled by what to do with my face last night I decided to pay homage to them. This is the result. Quick, simple and wonderfully comforting.

MAC Silverthorn e/s all over the lid.
Lancome Silver Wing e/s (so, so pretty… why don’t I reach for this more?) pressed on to the centre of the lid.
MAC Print e/s in the crease and smudged along the upper and lower lash line.
Random matte black e/s smudged into the upper lash line at the outer corner of the eye.
Revlon Matte e/s in Vintage Lace to highlight.
Bobbi Brown gel liner in Caviar Ink (LOVE) on my lower waterline.
About 4 coats of Max Factor Masterpiece mascara. Excessive? I think not.

You look beautiful Franky 🙂 Your hair does NOT look rubbish, silly billy, it looks lovely 🙂 Love the red lips, poutalicious 😉 I hope you had a wonderful evening out with your friend…wish I lived closer because then WE could have some Friday Night Glamour together, hehe! xxx
Oh, and I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned, but my degree was in Sociology too 🙂 xxx
You look beautiful, sweetie, glowy not shiny! xxx
gorgeous as per usual you are really rockin those lips 🙂 @Laura my degree was in Sociology too xx
@Laura Thank you hun! I’m just fed up with my hair… it’s stopped falling out but it still doesn’t look like ‘my hair’ if you know what I mean. I’ve got tons of baby hair and I’m used to having a heavy side swept fringe (that disguises my mahoosive forehead!). It’ll grow in the end tho! I’d LOVE to be glamorous with you hun, absolutely love to!!
(@Louise too) Yay for sociologists!! I loved doing my degree… found it all so fascinating!
@Rocaille Thanks hun! I’m just concious that it’s the time of year that my face usually goes crazy oily. I hate it!

i LOVE this look. it really enhances your natural beauty. and i agree with rocaille: you’re glowing, not shiny. 🙂
also i think your hair looks great. i wish i had the patience to wear mine down. 99.9% of the time i just pull it back into a sloppy ponytail & call it a day. time for a new look, i think.
ps. if you’re on facebook, i’d love to add you as a friend! there’s a link to my profile in my blog. 🙂
