OK, so not particularly flattering pictures and my new hair colour proved tricky to photograph. Basically it’s dark and very red (for me at least). You can just about see an accurate colour in the top picture where it’s catching the light. If I look a little disheveled it’s because these were taken 24hrs after I had it cut and I’ve batisted my barnet to within an inch of its life!!

I’m not sure I love it yet. I’d let it get so very light over the summer that it’s a bit of a shock to be so dark again. The cut is nothing new really, my usual side swept fringe and my stylist neatened up my long layers for me too. The best bit is that it feels much healthier post-trim and it’s got lashings of shine again.

My sister gave me MAC Sable e/s for my birthday and I’ve been wearing it a lot. It’s really pretty and I like how it looks with another MAC shade, All That Glitters. This is a staple in the make-up collections of many but I’m always a little unsure of whether it suits my colouring so I’m glad I’ve discovered something I enjoy pairing it with. It’s always nice to add another neutral to the collection and I’m sure this will get plenty of wear this autumn.
