I needed red lipstick this morning. I was tired and feeling incredibly unenthusiastic about going to work. But red lipstick lifts me, it makes me feel sophisticated and poised, elegant… desired even!! In reality I’m anything but. I’m sure I’m better at my job when I wear red lipstick. That’s the power of great lippy, dear readers.
I reached for Diorific 013 ‘Roulette Red’. I mean, if it’s good enough for Dita it’s certainly good enough for me. Here’s a close up of my pout… you can see another swatch here.

Ooo, you look amazing 🙂 I’m scared of red lippie, in fact, I’m a little scared of lippie in general, I’ve never found one I love that doesn’t dry my lips out, or accentuate the natural creases/lines on my lips more than I am comfortable with, so I tend to stick to glosses, but they can be so impractical.
This red looks great on you, and I agree, a sure fire way to perk yourself up 🙂 Loving the hair too Franky, I have hair envy!

@Laura Thanks hun! I couldn’t live without lippy and I really believe there is red out there to suit everyone. There are def lipsticks that don’t dry the lips too, I like MAC lustre finishes and they’re great if you want to try something a little more subtle. I’m so plesed with my my hair. I think the style would really suit you too!

That’s a really beautiful red. I certainly know what you mean about red lipstick can pick you up when you’re just not feeling in the mood. I have Illamasqua lipstick in Box which is a lovely red. It’s really pigmented though so I have to be careful not to end up smearing it on baby’s head!

As a red lover I would highly recommend you check out Illamasqua’s “Box” lipstick. It’s AMAZING!
