Apologies for the lack of posts this week. Preparations for my daughter’s 5th birthday party are in full swing. I’ve spent most of the afternoon tinkering in the kitchen. I’ve made rocky road (which I’m very tempted to eat now), mini chocolate orange muffins and cheese biscuits (because you have to have the obligatory savoury items on the table if only to appease the parents). Once the children are in bed I’ll set to work on the icing for the birthday cake. Hopefully I’ll be able to post some pictures of the finished product as well as all the fabulous pirate themed decorations we’ll be putting up tomorrow.
