Mr. LA and I started something of a trend this summer. Within 2 months of our engagement 2 close friends had also announced their plans to get hitched. Funnily enough, despite being the first to have a ring placed on my finger I’ll be the last of our little trio to walk down the aisle. One friend is marrying in June and the other in November next year.
All this means that I have 2 wedding outfits to plan and execute over the next 12 months. Now, I can’t be the only one that starts thinking about these sorts of things this far in advance? Can I? My biggest fear when attending a wedding is that shopping on the high street might lead to the ultimate fashion faux pas, turning up in the same frock as someone else. As more and more brides turn to the high street in order to clothe their wedding party you even risk wearing the same outfit as one of the bridesmaids! In my opinion, shopping a little prematurely can only serve to reduce the chances of such a disaster.
At least, that’s the line I’ll be giving Mr. LA anyway. Especially if I act on the major crush I have developed for this stunning frock from Dolly Dagger
Luckily for me there will be no guest overlap between the two weddings as my friends move in different social circles. This means one dress will do for both weddings. I can see myself pairing it with a nice pair of sandals, bare legs and maybe a light evening cover-up for the summer ‘do’. For the bash in November seamed stockings and a more robust pair of heels would be essential as well as some kind of cute cardi and a fabulous coat.
I love the shape and the print, it’s entirely fabulous if you ask me and would get plenty of wear beyond the two weddings.
What are you lusting after at the moment ladies? Are you a fan of Dolly Dagger?

That is gorgeous!! I have a pattern for a dress similar to that.
I definitely agree, it’s perfect for a wedding but could also be worn at other times – fancy summer dinner out?
I’m lusting after a nice brown leather bag for all seasons… But I can’t bring myself to splurge so much on it right now ;( xxx
@m4dswine How I wish I could sew, this is probably my fave shape of dress/skirt!
@Rocaille Yes, def fine for a fancy summer dinner. I think I’m going to have to succumb and buy the thing! A good leather bag will last a life time, might be worth the investment 😉

Fabulous dress, I’m pretty sure no one else will have the same one! The make up from your ‘Pleasure Me Red’ post will look fabulous with this too 🙂 xxx
@Laura Hmmmmmm, I don’t think I’m going to be able to resist it for much longer! You’re right about the make-up, that’s exactly what I had in mind 🙂
