The house was full on Boxing Day, I think my Mum had 19 people for lunch altogether! In addition to my immediate family and Mr. LA’s parents and brother we were joined by my Grandmother, my Great Aunt and Uncle, my Aunt, her husband and twin boys and a friend of my Grandmother too! We opened more presents and ate a delicious meal of leftovers.
Jesse looked very dapper in his new waistcoat…
Here’s me (looking knackered thanks to Jesse not sleeping) and my Gran (remember her beautiful wedding dress).
My twin cousins (who are now 16) gave Jesse their old Brio train set. It’s just the most perfect present! I remember putting it together with the boys when they were little and I know Jesse is going to love playing with it now. My Aunt put it through the dishwasher to get it all spic and span for us!
After lunch a few people went off for a walk in the (melting) snow but I opted to curl up on the sofa with the children and watch Toy Story 3. Eased off on the wine a little in the evening, I think I was beginning to fill up with flu by this point. We had another couple of rounds of the British quiz and we all had a giggle at Mr. LA’s brother who got a little tipsy on Schnapps.
