That’s what it felt like towards the end of last week when I ripped open my fabulous package from Rocaille!

I had asked Monika if she was interested in arranging an international swap after reading another complimentary post about the Polish make-up brand Inglot that she had written. Although I believe the range is available in the UK, I certainly can’t get my hands on it down here in Devon. Monika was only too happy to oblige and a couple of weeks later I have all of these goodies to play with! She also bought me a couple of things from Sephora, another store we miss out on in the UK (why, oh why did they withdraw it? I used to love the Sephora at Brent Cross in London). My parcel contained a Sephora flashy liner waterproof in no. 12 ‘flashy ultra green’ which is AMAZING… it’s so soft and creamy but also incredibly pigmented. I adore the colour and I’ve already used it in a couple of looks.

From Inglot, Monika chose a lipstick in no. 58 ‘Pomadka do Ust‘ (translation anyone!?). This is such a stunning colour and definitely manages to satisfy my current craving for bold lips. I also received 3 gorgeous eye shadows. These are beautiful, I adore the formulation and the pigmentation is excellent. The colours themselves are stunning… these swatches don’t really do them justice. The purple is my favourite. It has the most amazing finish which reminds me of amethyst. Monika also sent me a bottle of Sephora nail polish (not pictured here but I’m planning on including it in a future post about my favourite metallic nail colours). It’s a really unique colour and I’ve instantly fallen in love with it.

There was also a lovely card enclosed with the package and I have to say Monika has the most beautiful, neat handwriting I’ve ever seen!

The swap was so much fun. I really enjoyed exchanging emails with Monika and shopping for her was such a pleasure. I hope my choices are as spot on as hers have proven to be, I honestly love everything she sent!

p. s For anyone that doesn’t know an international swap involves shopping for another person in order to send them items that they might not have access to in their own country. Through personal emails, Monika and I arranged a budget and gave each other a bit of an idea about what we’d like to receive before shopping for and posting off the goodies.
