Nouvelle Vague wasn’t the only item I picked up from the latest Chanel collection. I knew as soon as I saw the images from the S/S 2010 runway that I needed this lipstick in my life.
I own a few Rouge Allure lipsticks and I really like them. The packaging is very James Bond, you press the bottom of the lipstick and the outer case pops up to reveal the lipstick filled inner. The black and gold looks very sleek and sophisticated too. The Rouge Allure formulation is incredibly creamy and easy to apply but can feel a little drying on me after a while.
In the flesh (so to speak) Genial didn’t disappoint. It was love at first swatch. #187 is the most perfect bright pinky coral… oh soooo perfect for summer! I think the shade really lifts my complexion and makes me look (and feel) more awake and healthy! 
As usual, lighting and Blogger’s ability to wash the colour out of everything is against me and these images don’t really do the shade justice. Trust me ladies, it’s simply gorgeous and, dare I say, that in my humble opinion it’s a must buy! For me at least it’s a fabulous addition to my summer lipstick wardrobe.
I’m loving lipstick at the moment (having worn nothing but gloss last month) and I’d love some recommendations for other summery lipsticks. Do you have a favourite shade for this time of year ladies?

I recently bought a Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick number 65 (teheran) it’s quite vibrant when put on thickly but can be subtle when applied lightly. Love it!

I have Genial, too! In fact it’s the only Rouge Allure that I have. Now I’m into Rouge Coco. The Chanel marketing is working and I’m starting to wear more lipsticks (lots of MAC) – and I used to only wear lip gloss, I swear.
