My masterpiece! It took hours but it was worth it to see the look on my daughter’s face when I brought it in. It’s made up of 3 cakes and then covered in butter icing and ready made royal icing which I coloured myself. That took the longest actually, it was pink rather than red for ages! I traced a picture of a skull & crossbones and then used it to cut around. Aren’t the little pirate candles cute?

Wow that’s incredible! Well done my lovely xx
That’s wonderful! My mum used to make the best novelty birthday cakes for me, and I remember how much I loved them (nowadays they’re no longer novelty, just delicious!). You’ll get major adoration and thanks for it!
Arrr, beautiful! Great job! xxx
Thank you ladies! I was really pleased with how it turned out. Izzy adored it!
@Ondine My mum made the most amazing cakes and I’m sure that’s why I feel such a strong sense of obligation to my own children. I have such fond memories of my own birthday cakes and how impressed my friends were when they were wheeled out at a party.
Thats amazing! Well done for making it on your own – i would love to be able to bake a cake like that! x
That is so cool! Very creative!
This is amazing, well done you! I’d pay good money for this, you should go into business 🙂 x
