Although I’ve seen a few bloggers suggest that this years spring collections are *yawn* decidedly similar to last years spring collections, I’ve still found myself lusting after a few things. Perhaps this is because, unlike a lot of beauty addicts out there, I’ve never really embraced the onslaught of pastel shades that tend to hit the counters at this time of year. Until now, pastel nail polishes have reminded me of painting my nails with tip-ex during algebra at school and I’ve always been terrified of coming over all Pat Butcher in pastel eye shadows.
So no one was more surprised than myself when I realised I was checking the Revlon stand on a daily basis in eager anticipation of their latest collection. I finally got my hands on these today (Revlon is currently on 3for2 in Boots) and I can’t wait to have a proper play with it all.
I picked up Super Lustrous Lip glosses in Lilac Pastelle, Pink Pop and Coral Reef, the Summer Suedes e/s quad and the two nail polishes in Minted and Lilac Pastelle. There are some brilliant swatches over at Vex In The City and Bubblegarm.
A No.17 nail polish also snuck its way into my basket… I adore orange nails and I’m going to love how this clashes with my favourite aqua coloured dress.

i’ve always tended to go for the darker colors (maybe it’s the little goth girl in me that never grew up), but this year i’m all about pastels! i especially love the minty greens & pale lavenders i see floating around. i’m totally going to check out revlon’s selection next time im at target! 🙂
