I’m conscious of the fact that I really don’t want to bore everyone with all my holiday photos (I took hundreds) so here some of my favourites from the few that I’ve managed to upload to my computer so far.
I think they give you a good feel of what Bali was like…. the beautiful gardens of our hotel, the stunning architecture, the amazing temples and the vibrant culture. We saw lots of traditional Balinese dancing while we were there and it was truly breathtaking, not just the music and movement but the costumes and make-up too.
I adore the last photo of the children by the pool. I’m not sure why but it really makes me wish that they didn’t have to grow up, they just look so adorable in their stripy swimsuits and arm-bands!

Lovely photos! The one with the birds on your daughters arms made me smile. I know what you mean, it would be great to keep them just as they are, so small and innocent! It looks like you had a fabulous time.

Here here to every word of @Casee Marie’s comment! How on earth could you possibly bore us with photos of Bali my sweet?! These photos are gorgeous, it looks divine…I’m getting *itchy feet*, wanting to just go off on holiday – although where I’d find the money for it I don’t know!
The resort looks fabulous, what was it called, if you don’t mind my asking?

@Cafe Bellini Thank you! Yes we ate lots of local food and it was delicious. We’re big fans of thai food and there are a lot of similarities. My favourite meal was a type of fried rice that was served with satay, egg and pickles. Sounds odd but it was yummy! The children ate a lot of rice and noodles and plenty of tropical fruit. Jesse had papaya and yellow watermelon for breakfast everyday!
@Modesty Brown We really did have an amazing time. It would be nice to keep them little forever but I’m also looking forward to watching them grow up in to wonderful human beings (athough I wish I could bypass the teenage years…. I gave my mother hell)!!

@Laura Oh hunny, we saved for about 2 years for this trip so I know what you mean about itchy feet! I love to travel and wish we could afford to do it more. But hey, the next trip I get to plan is my honeymoon so I can’t feel to sorry for myself!
We stayed at the Bali Hyatt which is a 4* resort. It was a an amzing hotel but the restaurants/bars were incredibly overpriced considering the rest of Bali was so cheap (the 4 of us could eat out for under £15 incl. beer and wine for us grown-ups). That said, I’d fully recommend it. I fully expect to go back for our wedding anniversary one day!!
