A beautiful old and somewhat battered vintage suitcase has been on my wedding shopping list for a while, ever since I stumbled across images like these….

So imagine my joy when I spied this specimen in the shop window of a local vintage clothing store…
I paid £12 for this beauty. It needs a good clean and I may decide to reline it with some fabric but otherwise, it’s perfect!
I really love the case with the old wedding photos pinned inside it in one of the images above. I had planned to feature family wedding pictures in frames next to our guest book (in whatever form that takes) but I think I’ve fallen in love with this idea now.
What do you think ladies, pretty, no?

I think its a wonderful idea! Really lovely 🙂 I’d pin the wedding photos in. You could also pin some of your babies?

That’s a really lovely idea and I think it adds a really personal touch.
What a bargain the case was! x
amazing! i too have been on the lookout for a vintage leather suitcase and the last few I saw were just way beyond my budget 🙁 perfect find! love the new blog layout by the way xox
@Lila Loves I love your idea for putting pictures of the children in as well, I might just do that!!
@Lauren Loves Yes, a real bargain, I was really chuffed with it!
@A Certain Vintage It’s a shame you’re nowhere near Exeter, the lady had another 2 in the window! Glad you like the layout, I wanted something a little more grown-up and a little less pink!

So so sweet. I love it 🙂
Ooo, what a find Franky 🙂 I love those images, I especially like the idea of the wedding photos/babies photos pinned inside, an extra personal touch that will just make all the difference.
I have to say, I really admire your attention to detail…I am probably the worst person to plan a wedding (not that I am, and at this rate never will!), I just really wouldn’t know where to start!

gorgeous!!!!
@arlene Thank you, I’m so pleased with it!
@LissyLou So glad you approve!
@Laura I know, I was thrilled when I spotted it! It’s amazing how you react to the prospect of planning a wedding, you might surprise yourself. I find it much easier to picture the small details than the big picture, I’m just hoping they’ll all blend together into something beautiful on the day!
Besides, when Colin finally pops the question, you’ll have me to help you 😉
