- Loving not having to get up for the school run.
- Making blueberry pancakes (you can find the recipe I use here)
- Wishing we hadn’t opened the letter from my University. Things are not what they seemed with my MA course and I’ve been plunged into complete turmoil over my subject choice.
- Panicking.
- Panicking some more.
- Loving the way Mr. LA tries to make me feel better.
- Wishing I could believe him when he tells me everything will be alright.
- Walking down to the Double Locks (which I’ve linked to before, but it really is our favourite watering hole, especially in the sunshine).
- Enjoying a yummy pub lunch.
- Beaming every time Jesse utters his newest word. ‘Cuggle mama’. Cutest. Thing. Ever.
- Wandering into town for a spot of wedding related shopping.
- Wishing I could remember the pin number for my credit card.
- Being grumpy and short with my loved ones. Stress will do that to a girl.
- Tucking the children into bed and pouring myself a very large glass of wine.
- Loving my Chanel Diabolic pedicure.
- Watching ‘True Romance’. I love everything about this movie, especially the Hans Zimmer score (so much so that I’m planning to walk down the aisle to this).
- Taking a long distance phone call from my Mum (who’s currently holidaying in Australia) to ask her advice on the whole Uni/’what the hell am I going to do now’ issue.
- Waking up with a hangover.
- Wishing Mr. LA didn’t have to work on a Sunday.
- Enjoying a spur of the moment M&S picnic on Cathedral Green. The sun was shining, Jesse ate his own body weight in prawns, Izzy regaled me with tales of her Sunday morning drama class and for a few minutes I forgot about everything else.
- Browsing the children’s books in Waterstones.
- Craving a new bottle of perfume.
- Watching ‘Gigi’ with Izzy while Jesse napped in his stroller in the front garden.
- Killing an hour in the park.
- Cooking an enormous veggie stir-fry.
- Laughing at how much Izzy loves butternut squash.
- Not wanting to tidy the toys in the front room. Seriously, it looks like a bomb has hit it.
- Hoping for some clarity come Monday morning.

Your weekend sounds absolutely fab – apart from the Uni thing 🙁 – Hope it all gets sorted soon lovely xx
I do hope everything works out. x
Something not too dissimilar happened to me when I started University. Turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me.
Whatever happens is what’s meant to 🙂
As Laura said, aside from the utterly crap Uni situation (I really hope everything works out for you Franky, am thinking of you), and Mr LA working (today was Colin’s ONLY day off this week *sob*), your weekend sounds lovely. I love impromptu picnics in the park too, wish I could have joined you…we could have swapped children for lovely ‘cuggles’ 🙂 x x x
Hope you find a solution to the uni issue- I hear about this happening to people with all sorts of courses. Don’t worry, it will work itself out. x
@Lollipop Thanks hun, it was a lovely weekend, particularly as the sun came out to play! I’m sure it will all get resolved somehow.
@Grace London Thank you, me too!
@Sam I couldn’t agree more, but it’s the uncertainty that I dislike. That and waiting for lecturers to reply to my emails! Just want to get it all sorted so I know what I’m doing in 3 weeks time.
@Laura Thank you my lovely, I wish you could have joined us too! I would love some cuddles with Jamie, sure all my troubles would have just melted away!
@Anonymous Girl I’m sure it will. I’ve heard lots of similar stories too, although never about people at post grad level.

I love these posts! 🙂 I spent time browsing through kids books this weekend as well…I love looking at all the big picture books!
I work in a student office at a Uni and this problem unfortunately happens to a lot of students…it’s so crappy and unfair! Fingers crossed everything works out ok for you!
