I fed my stationery addiction this week. I purchased a new diary.

I fully embraced the desire for newness that September brings {a throwback to school days and the customary addition of a shiny new pencil case, lunchbox and book bag}, indulging in a small, soft backed, 18 month Moleskin. It’s a beauty. Behold…

I spent an evening filling in important dates. Our wedding day ranked pretty highly on the list, as did our honeymoon.

Did I mention we booked our honeymoon? Two weeks in Koh Samui, Thailand. WITHOUT CHILDREN.

Uh huh, that’s right, sans enfant.

Believe it or not, it will be our first holiday together, on our own, EVER.

Unless you count that weekend of camping in north Devon the first May bank holiday we were together. Technically, I was already pregnant with Izzy so we weren’t really alone, in the true sense of the word. Besides, we were in a tent. And we only had one sleeping bag {although Mr. LA didn’t seem to mind too much *wink*} and we weren’t even calling each other girlfriend and boyfriend at the time. At least not out loud. My, how things have changed, hey?

Anyway, we’re booked into the Sala Samui and we’ll be jetting off a few months after the wedding. I’ve never fancied honeymooning immediately after the big day, for reasons I can’t entirely fathom, but when I realised my graduation ceremony would be the weekend following the wedding, I knew I simply couldn’t miss it. Currently toying with the idea of giving my wedding dress a second airing under my robes. My Jimmy Choos will compliment the mortar board perfectly, no?

The pages of my beloved Moleskin will be perfect for honeymoon packing lists. Exactly how many bikinis does one require for a two week stay in the sun?

Where did/will you go on your honeymoon? Are you a fan of Moleskin notebooks? They make me go a little weak at the knees, truth be told. Please excuse me while I stroke its pristine pages…
