I love reading these! They go some way in satisfying my insatiable curiosity (read: ‘I’m dead nosey, me’). Here are my own answers for your perusal…

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice, although much more thoroughly in the evenings when I need to remove my make-up.

What skin type do you have?
Erm… pain in the…!

Seriously, probably combination/dry with a tendency to breakout occasionally and become oilier at certain times of the month. Oh, and fairly sensitive too.

What is your current facial wash?
Neals Yard Palmarosa face wash. I only use this when my skin starts to break out though. Otherwise, I’m trying to use up a milky cleanser from La Roche Posay which is nice but not worthy of a repurchase.

Do you exfoliate?
Yes. Whenever I feel my skin needs it and always before I use a face mask.

What brand do you use?
My favourite is Neals Yard Honey & Orange facial scrub.

What moisturiser do you use?
Lush Vanishing Cream. Almost the perfect moisturiser. Unfortunately it’s lacking in the SPF department.

Do you have freckles?
Yes. A few which become more pronounced in the summer.

Do you use an eye cream?
Yes, religiously. I’m currently using Origins Ginzing but I haven’t really formed an opinion of it yet as I’ve only had it a week.

Do you – or did you ever – have acne-prone skin?
Yes, yes, and yes again. I have experienced periods of (what was to my mind) horrific acne, most recently during the early stages of my 2nd pregnancy. It leaves me depressed and seriously lacking in self-esteem. I’ve used topical antibiotics, the pill, oral antibiotics etc. etc. Although my skin is very clear now (apart from the odd hormonal breakout) I live in constant fear of the acne returning.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
Nope.

What foundation do you use?
Mainly Lily Lolo mineral foundation but also Chanel Pro-lumiere.

How about concealer?
Bobbi Brown corrector layered under the creamy concealer for my under eye area and Estee Lauder Double Wear for blemishes.

Do you know your undertone colour?
Not really.

What do you think of false eyelashes?
I love them but rarely have the time to put them on myself.

Did you know you were supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes but I probably bin mine when the consistency seems to change or it’s not doing what it’s supposed to anymore.

Which brand of mascara do you use?
I’m very loyal to Max Factor.

Sephora or MAC?
I don’t have access to Sephora in the UK (but I remember when we did *sob*)so I’d have to say MAC.

Do you have a MAC Pro card?
No.

What make-up tools do you use in make-up application?
Fingers and brushes. I couldn’t live without my Lily Lolo Kabuki, my new Revlon shadow contour brush or my MAC brushes.

Do you use a make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes. UDPP or an Estee Lauder cream shadow.

For the face?
No. I’ve always been terrified that they’ll break me out.

What is your favourite eye shadow (colour or shade)?
I can’t resist purple eye shadows but more specifically I’d probably have to say MAC Vex.

Do you use pencil or liquid liner?
Both. It depends what kind of look I’m aiming for.

How often do you poke your eyes with pencil liner?
Errrr never?

What do you think of pigment eye shadows?
I love them but rarely reach for them. They always seem a bit time consuming.

Do you use mineral make-up?
Yes, I adore my Lily Lolo foundation and MAC MSF Natural. I also have a few mineral e/s from MAC.

What’s your favourite lipstick?
This is such a tough question. Probably Revlon Cherries in the Snow or MAC Lustering.

How about lip gloss?
Maybe Chanel Mica but again it’s really hard to choose. I wouldn’t be without any of the ones I own so maybe they’re all favourites!

What is your favourite blush to use?
It’s a toss up between MAC Pink Swoon and NARS Deep Throat.

Do you buy your make-up on Ebay?
No, I never have.

Do you like drugstore make-up?
Yes, a lot. Revlon especially. They have so many stunning shades of lipstick and they’re nail polishes are amaaaazing.

Do you go to CCOs (Cosmetic Company Outlets)?
Nope.

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I can’t say I ever have but I think it would be fun. I’d love a pro to advise me on what shades/textures suit me.

Are you clumsy in putting on make-up?
Not really but I am prone to the odd mascara splodge here and there.

Name a make-up crime that you hate.
Orange foundation with obvious tide marks around the jawline. Yuk!

Do you like colourful shades of make-up or neutral ones?
There is a place in my heart for both!

Which celebrity aways has great make-up?
I’m a little obsessed with Dita Von Teese. Her make-up is so simple but oh so stunning. I here she is bringing out a beauty ‘how to’ book at the end of the year. I can’t wait!

If you could leave the house using just one item of make-up, what would you use?
Probably concealer.

Could you ever leave the house without any make-up on?
I could but I wouldn’t enjoy it. I’m not at all comfortable with my bare skin to be honest. Besides, my make-up is so much a part of me and my personality that I’d just feel too naked.

Do you think you look good without any make-up on?
Hmmmm, maybe while I’m on holiday, by the pool, looking all healthy and glowy… but on a day-to-day basis… no not really.

In your opinion what is the BEST make-up line?
High end I’d have to say MAC… or possibly NARS (or maybe Chanel. Indecisive, moi?). For drugstore Revlon wins hands down.

What do you think of make-up?
It’s fun. I enjoy shopping for it, applying it, experimenting with it and I find making myself (and other people) up very therapeutic. It makes me feel better about myself and plays a big part in how I project my personality to the rest of the world.

If you haven’t done this already then please do! They’re so fun to read.
