- Sleeping in.
- Eating an omelet for breakfast.
- Sipping multiple cups of tea.
- Lazily getting ready.
- Wearing one of my favourite dresses. Guaranteed to make a girl feel good.
- Feeling thankful for foundation. My skin has decided to freak out and I’m currently sporting a delicious crop of pimples on my jawline. Attractive.
- Strolling to the Public Library.
- Reading to the children.
- Loading the buggy with books.
- Wandering round a local craft fair.
- Browsing one of my favourite vintage stores with Izzy. She has quite the eye for fifties frocks and did her best to persuade me to buy a gorgeous 1920s silk slip.
- Losing Mr. LA and Jesse.
- Stomping home in a grump.
- Having words 😉
- Eating a huge plate of pesto pasta. This is one of my greatest foodie pleasures. Especially if it’s fresh pesto from the local deli and served with a salad of rocket leaves and baby plum tomatoes drenched in balsamic vinegar.
- Curling up on the sofa to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
- Daydreaming about elegant black cocktail dresses and diamonds.
- Cooking and eating curry, rice and naan.
- Putting two excited children to bed. Something about a bunny and lots of chocolate in the morning.
- Baking Chocolate Easter cake. Although it looked the part once frosted on Sunday morning, this bake was massively disappointing. The sponges didn’t rise properly and tasted really dry and heavy *sigh* The search for the perfect chocolate cake recipe continues.
- Catching up with my Mum on the phone.
- Drinking wine.
- Watching Breaking Bad. We’re totally hooked on this programme, great TV.
- Cuddling a poorly toddler.
- Tumbling into bed.
- Being woken by giggly children.
- Eating chocolate for breakfast.
- Cooking a huge Sunday dinner of roast chicken, potato and sweet potato dauphinoise and braised peas with onion and mint. It was delicious. I ate until I was ready to pass out in a food coma.
- Swearing when it seemed the dishwasher had broken right after I used every single pot, pan and plate in the house.
- Throwing my arms round Mr.LA when he fixed it.
- Loving fresh flowers on the table.
- Marvelling at the cheerfulness of the colour yellow.
- Hiding eggs.
- Following the children as they hunted for them.
- Venturing to the park in the sunshine.
- Snuggling on the sofa and watching The Lion King.
- Laughing at Jesse as he danced and sang along… ‘The ciiiiiirrrrcccllllleeee of liiiiiiiiiiiiiiffffffe’!
- Cooking the children noodles for supper.
- Indulging in Dominoes once they were in bed.
- Staying up far too late.
- Listing pretty dresses and shoes on Ebay.
- Not getting much sleep. Mr. LA was snoring, Jesse was having nightmares.
- Waking up very slowly.
- Cursing the miserable wet weather.
- Spending the morning colouring and dressing up with the children.
- Eating chips and garlic sauce for lunch.
- Heading out in search of puddles.
- Watching the children get very wet as they jumped and splashed in them.
- Coming home for hot chocolate with marshmallows and cuddles on the sofa.
- Dozing.
- Reviving myself with a mug of tea before preparing macaroni cheese for dinner.
- Clearing up while Mr. LA bathed and bedded the children.
- Looking forward to a lazy evening on the sofa.

I squealed when I saw the words ‘Breaking Bad’! We are obsessed with it, but no one has heard of it!
Oh it is so good! We’re on season 3 at the moment and totally hooked. Watching around 2-3 eps a night! xxx
I think putting cola in chocolate cake is meant to keep it moist, my old housemate made some pretty spectacular cakes that way, might be something you want to try if you haven’t already 🙂
Thanks, I have tried this and it’s delicious!
Since baking this I’ve tested another recipe which uses sour cream. It definitely wins my prize for most delicious chocolate cake, I’ll have to share it on here soon!

I love reading these posts! This is Joanna from the old blog LilaLoves if you remember, anyway I never left really and have been following your blog ever since although not commenting as I deleted my blogger profile account… I always look forward to your weekend posts – you always find such lovely activities for you and the children to do! Loving Izzy’s shorter hair too! She looks so grown up! x
